Theme and Storyline

While the phrase "pink elephants" is usually used as a euphemistic idiom for the hallucinations of drunkards, the game Pink Elephants is very much a real thing. Within a world populated by anthropomorphised rock hyraxes which are, as every lover of genetic trivia knows, the closest living relatives of the elephant family.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The aforementioned background is a fine example of scene setting, the heat warps the abandoned elephant statues, and in the foreground the reels are done with real care. The characters are cute, the designs well wrought, and all in all the slot works well at the visual level.

The music is a strange and eerie piece of music with the rich warbling of didgeridoos underlying something reminiscent of Arabian brass and strings over the top. This generates an atmosphere that is hallucinatory, and plays into both the desert setting and the heffalump based theme.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

There is a Wild symbol which, as per usual, substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter and Mystery Scatter symbols.

In the Bonus feature two Scatters will add three spins with an extra 2 spins per extra Scatter up to a maximum of plus 11 spins for hitting six Scatters.

Mystery Scatters are triggered at random and result in 1-5 extra Scatters being added to the reels. They count towards triggering the Bonus.

During the Bonus rounds orbs can be collected for each high symbol. These fill up a meter for each of them, turning that symbol into pink elephants for the remaining free spins. Filling up a meter also rewards an extra free spin.
