Theme and Storyline

Tiny Toads is set on a small pond where the frogs come in all manner of colors and the fireflies have cheeky smiles.

There are several other water-going characters including a crocodile and a singing fish, all of which fit into this strange and colorful world.

The cartoonish pondside setting is a relaxing and playful place where players can chill out and watch the fireflies dance in the air.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

For a game that feels like the setting of a children's TV show, this slot is somewhat under-animated. There are a few key gameplay moments where movement creeps in, but on the whole, the game feels quite visually static.

The music and sound effects counter this a bit, with a fast-paced banjo song playing in the background and plenty of sound effects to punctuate the action.

But despite all of this, the slot feels like it is missing some key element of life to make it feel more immersive and enjoyable.

Gameplay

Tiny Toads is a five-reel slot with four rows of symbols and fifty win lines in the base game.

There is a form of progress in the form of Fireflies which come in three colors and fatten up the frog of a corresponding color whenever they land on the reels. These frogs sit above the reels and when full, trigger the bonus game modifiers to the game (these modifiers are described in more detail in the section below).

The maximum win on any given round is capped at 4,000x the player's bet.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

The Wild symbol substitutes for all normal symbols on the reels. The Wild does not substitute for Firefly symbols.

When a Firefly symbols land on the reel they can fatten up the Frogs above the reels. When a Frog is fully fattened it hops into the pond triggering the corresponding bonus.

Each bonus is a basic Free Spin bonus with 10 free spins. However, each Frog applies a different modifier to its spins.

The Red Frog, for example, transforms all Firefly symbols on the reels into Golden Firefly symbols. Golden Firefly symbols have a randomized cash value applied to them or a letter from each of the Jackpots (MINI, MINOR, MAJOR, and GRAND). The player collects the cash value and letters from all Gold symbols. If they collect the letters to spell one of the Jackpots out fully, then the player also receives that jackpot.

The Purple and Green Frogs also have their own effects.

The Green Frog's spins have 100 win lines instead of 50. They add an extra reel to the grid, and a nudge feature to any Wild symbol that lands.

The Purple Frog's spins are like the Red Frog, but the Gold symbols do not have letters on them.
