The game is themed around a beautiful princess who lives way up in the clouds. She appears to the right of the grid and if you get lucky, maybe she'll wave her wand and help you magic up some wins. If you're a fan of anime, you'll probably like the illustration style of the game, as it's quite unique.

The soundtrack doesn't really fit the vibe

The background music here is like a full-on 80s disco track. I got a bit of a jumpscare when I turned the sound on. It's more in-your-face even than other vibrant slots like Sweet Bonanza. I'm not certain the soundtrack fits the theme of the game at all, but it definitely keeps the energy levels up.

The game looks a lot like anime

The graphics and animations here are very good. If you look closely, you can see the ground far below as the animated clouds drift by. There are hints of a pink castle in the background, but the highlight is definitely the Starlight Princess herself, who is constantly moving around. On the other hand, there are no animations on the actual grid until the Tumbles kick in.

High volatility, like other Pragmatic Play slots

The Starlight Princess slot comes with an RTP of 96.50%, which is very much in line with other Pragmatic Play slots like The Dog House and Big Bass Splash. The game is highly volatile, which is another characteristic of Pragmatic Play slots with the Tumble feature. It's good news in our opinion though, as it makes for thrilling gameplay with the chance at some bigger wins, even though they're not too frequent.

I'm not 100% sure the theme of the Starlight Princess slot is for everyone: if you're more into crime or adventures, there are better games out there.
