Theme and Storyline

Magic Paper is a charming little slot machine based around the idea that origami might be magical.

It has a small cast of three paper animals each of which is beautifully designed and drawn, while the background of scrolls and magic wands hints at some greater story which is going on just outside our field of vision.

It is a lovely little theme for a slot machine and well rendered.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The artwork is gorgeous, although the Gameplay Interactive software always looks like it was designed for playing on a big screen. Laptop users might find the detail rather lost and shrunken unless they play in full screen, not to mention how it might affect the game as played on a mobile.

The music feels like a film score and is well written to blend into the background, although it doesn’t quite feel like it is adding to the atmosphere of the game.

The animations are simple, but effective. The overall design of the game is very good, in a non-flashy way.
