777 Golden Wheel doesn’t have much of a story or theme. The title is built around a gameplay feature (the bonus system detailed below).
It has a starry background, and jewelled symbols. But these are only visually linked. There appears to be no real genre, style, plot, or world to which the design elements point.
Not that this is a terrible thing. Just a hard thing to sell in a single line.
Despite their thematic emptiness, the visuals are pleasant. The artwork is neat and clean, the elements well designed.
The music is upbeat and fun without having a catch that might irritate after a while.
The win and spin sounds are well chosen and match with the elegant animations.
777 Golden Wheel is a five reel slot with three rows and 20 win lines.
The main gameplay feature is the bonus system in which the player gets to spin the Golden Wheel (details below).
There is no gamble feature or randomised elements.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus symbols. Whenever a Wild lands on a reel, it triggers a free respin.
Landing Bonus symbols on reel one and five in the same spin will trigger the Golden Wheel Bonus.
During the Golden Wheel Bonus the player spins the Golden Wheel to win a randomised cash prize. The sizes of the prize are proportional to the player’s bet per spin. The player can win up to x100 of their bet per spin.
Landing the wheel on a golden key upgrades the wheel to one with bigger prizes and awards another spin.
The return to player of this game is 94.00%. This is absurdly low. We view around 96% as roughly the average. Two full percentage points under that automatically means this game is unrecommendable.
The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€0.40 up to a maximum of $/£/€100.00 per spin.
The volatility of this game is low, which would make it a poor match for our preferred slot machine strategies if it weren’t already a dreadful match thanks to the extortionate vig.
777 Golden Wheel gets points for effort and style. The bonus game is a fun variation.
But with a vig of 6% this slot is unmanageably expensive to play.
It hardly matters that the visuals are alright or that the gameplay is solid, because with an RTP so low, there is simply no chance of it getting a recommendation from us.
