You'll really need to take the bull by the horns if you want to be successful with this Pragmatic Play slot.
Touro Sortudo is Portuguese for "Lucky Bull", but strangely enough, the theme is Asian, not Portuguese or Brazilian. The game might feel really familiar if you've played Pragmatic Play's Lucky Ox slot, as it looks pretty much the same, and even the features are the same.
You'll be greeted by a smiling bull character at the top of your screen, and the rest of the backdrop is an Asian garden. There's plenty of red to symbolize luck, and the theme music is a vibrant Asian-style tune, with the distinctive sounds of pipes and strings.
Touro Sortudo is played on a very simple grid, which works best in portrait mode on mobile. The game has three reels, with the first and third reels each displaying three symbols and the middle reel showing four.
You'll trigger a win by matching three of the same symbols from left to right on one of the 10 fixed paylines. The highest-paying symbol to look out for is the golden bull, while you'll also snag nice wins for landing treasure chest, lucky envelope, or lucky scroll.
The smiling bull symbol is the Wild, and it can appear on any of the reels, substituting for all regular symbols (Money symbols excluded).
Money symbols take the form of gold coins, and they can appear anywhere on the game grid. With every spin, the Money symbol takes on a random value of between 0.50x and 100x your stake amount. Landing five or more Money symbols during the base game awards you all the money values.
The Hold & Spin feature can be triggered randomly on any spin. All Money symbols lock into place, and other symbols fade away. Spins are re-triggered every time more Money symbols land, and if the grid is filled up at the end of the round, you'll get the 2,000x Grand jackpot.
The game has medium volatility, so you shouldn't expect thrilling play or huge wins. But on the upside, you're more likely to land frequent, smaller payouts. Touro Sortudo comes with a high Return to Player (RTP) percentage of 97.55%, which is comfortably above what we're used to seeing on Pragmatic Play slots.
You can bet for between $/€/£0.10 and $/€/£250 per spin, and the maximum payout is 5,000x your stake amount.
The high RTP of 97.55% really makes this game stand out for us. Overall, it's quite a simple slot, but the Respins round and the 2,000x potential jackpot prize make for entertaining play. There are no real differences between Touro Sortudo and Lucky Ox, but it's still nice to have another game to try.
