All aboard! This steam train is headed for the Wild West, and it might just bring along some wins. The Steamin' Reels slot by Pragmatic Play feels more colorful and lighthearted than other Wild West games (like Wanted Dead or a Wild or Dead or Alive 2), but it's unmistakably set in a little old American town of days gone by.
The background doesn't have a lot of animations, but the clouds move, almost creating the impression that the train is gliding along the tracks. The soundtrack is a tune befitting of a cowboy, featuring gentle twangs. But when winning combinations land, the game sounds like a classic, Vegas-style slot.
The Steamin' Reels slot game is very easy to understand: it's played on a 5x3 grid and wins pay on adjacent reels from left to right on 10 fixed paylines. Keep your eye out for the train conductor's hat, the sheriff's badge, the cowboy boots, and the cactus, which are all high-value symbols. Smaller wins pay out when you match enough of the A, K, Q, or J symbols from a deck of cards.
First things first: the Wild symbols can substitute for all regular paying symbols to help you create winning combinations.
Hit three, four, or five Scatters (the train symbol) to bag 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins, respectively. If no Scatters appear on the screen, the signalman symbol might randomly appear and turn three symbols into Scatters to trigger the bonus game.
