There are several Pragmatic Play slots with a mining theme, but this one looks a little different. Rather than being set in a dark mine shaft, the background here is a majestic canyon, with sparkling gold dust floating through the air. At the top of the game grid, you'll see a solid gold train, making its way along a railway track.
The theme tune is very upbeat, with a bit of a country vibe, so it certainly creates the atmosphere of being a miner somewhere in the American wilderness.
To bag yourself a win on the Majestic Express: Gold Run slot game, you'll need to get at least three identical symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. The game has 25 paylines, which are active every time you spin.
The cheerful gold miner and his trusty donkey are the highest-paying symbols, plus a cart of gold nuggets, a barrel of explosives, and an axe and shovel also pay out. The lowest-paying symbols are A, K, Q, J, and 10.
Majestic Rush: Gold Run comes with four fixed jackpot prizes, the biggest of which is the Grand. It awards 5,000x your stake amount.
Wilds can appear on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4, and they substitute for all regular symbols.
Keep an eye out for the big golden nugget icon, which is the Money symbol. It can appear on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4, and it always takes on a random value of up to 15x your stake. Train Money symbols hold higher Multiplier values or fixed jackpot prizes.
The very special Collect and Super Collect symbols can only land on reel 5, and they collect all of the Money and Train Money symbol values and add them to your win.
Scatters are represented by a bundle of dynamite, and they can appear on reels 1, 3, and 5. Get three Scatters anywhere on the reels, and you'll be rewarded with 10 Free Spins. The Money and Train Money symbols are active during Free Spins, but the round cannot be retriggered.
The theoretical Return to Player (RTP) percentage of the game is 96.50%, which puts it above the industry average of 96%. The volatility is high, which means that you might have to wait a while between wins, but in general, they tend to be a little larger. This makes for exciting gameplay, and it's definitely the type of slot we'd recommend.
You can spin for a minimum of $/€/£0.10 a go, up to a maximum of $/€/£250.
Some of the features here might be quite familiar if you've played other Pragmatic Play slots before, but that's not a bad thing. The Money and Train Money symbols are a fun way to add cash to your win, and we liked the four potential jackpot prizes, too. Majestic Express: Gold Run has a pretty generous maximum win amount 20,000x your stake, and with an above-average RTP of 96.50%, you do have a decent chance at landing a win.
