Inspired by the Chinese New Year of the Snake, Fortune Snake is a vibrant Chinese-themed slot with a modern twist.
PGsoft has given this groovy title a hip-hop feel, with the snake rapper Golden Scale, who represents wealth, taking center stage.
Fortune Snake is a great pick for those players who appreciate a lively gaming experience with plenty of whimsy.
The Fortune Snake soundtrack combines traditional Chinese music with hip-hop beats to make this game cool.
Although played on loop, the music is quite catchy, and the frenzied sound effects denoting wins claimed should keep the players excited.
An assortment of eye-catching symbols is spread across the board, including golden bowls, firecrackers, and chains.
In the background, Golden Scale whips the crowd into a frenzy at the nightclub, busting out some beats while holding a microphone.
All in all, the glitzy graphics and slick soundtrack enhance the gaming experience.
Fortune Snake is played on a 3-reel grid and is complete with 10 fixed paylines.
Winning combinations are formed by landing at least 3 matching symbols across any payline.
The Golden Scale is the highest-paying symbol as the Wild, offering a top win worth 50x your bet.
The Stacked Wild Feature comes into play when 4 Wilds land on reel 2. The entire middle reel will be covered, and this is made extra special by the 10x multiplier that it carries.
As the game’s main bonus, the Fortune Snake Feature can be activated on any spin. The chances of triggering it will increase when the Bonus Bet mode is switched on.
When triggered, the game selects 1 paying symbol at random. Reels 1 and 3 may contain only the chosen symbol or blank spaces, while reel 2 will have Wilds or blanks.
If matching symbols land on reels 1 and 3, while a Wild appears on reel 2, a payout is awarded. Any new Wilds that lock in place trigger a respin. The respins continue as long as new matching symbols or Wilds keep landing.
Players can win a maximum of 5,000x their bet when they tackle Fortune Snake.
The return to player (RTP) for Fortune Snake sits at 96.75% which is above the 96% industry yardstick.
Players can spin the reels for as little as $/£/€0.30, while the maximum bet stands at $/£/€90.
Fortune Snake falls into the low volatility category, which is disappointing as it fails to meet our preferred slot machine strategies. We tend to go for games with the highest possible volatility rating.
We think Fortune Snake is worth exploring in more depth.
Despite its low volatility, this game has a high RTP (96.75%), complete with some snazzy graphics and a funky soundtrack.
