Amatic appear to have decided their main business model in 2019 is to cash in on the fact that the Book of Ra is a hugely popular slot machine that is looking a bit dated nowadays.

The animations are clean and straightforward, with enough flare to mark them out from the property it pays homage too. While the sound is a good approximation of the Cleopatra soundtrack as remixed by Sergio Leone.

All in all, the design elements are as clear cut and solid as the pyramids themselves.

Gameplay

The gameplay, too, feels so traditional it might originally have been conceived on an ancient roll of papyrus. Book of Queen is a simple five reel slot with ten win lines, and a combined Wild, Scatter and Bonus symbol.

Fans of more complex slot machines will probably be left cold as the desert night by the simplicity here, but fans of the classics should get a kick.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

The Scatter, Bonus and Wild symbols are all rolled into one symbol, referred to as the Scatter in Book of Queen’s instructional bumf.
