Theme and Storyline

Lucky Hot is another fruit machine style slot in the EGT’s "Hot" line of games. The "Hot" here mostly refers to the orange colour palette and not to the game’s attractiveness.

The fruit machine style manifests in the symbols which, as well as classic fruit like cherries, also sports lucky sevens, bells, stars and bars. In keeping with the simplicity of old slot machines, this one offers simple visuals with a plain orange background for the reels and a black background for the symbols.

If you’re a fan of this kind of minimalism, this won’t put you off. Though players more used to an immersive world – or just some varied visuals – will be disappointed.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The graphics and animations for this slot are pretty basic. The buttons and background all look like they were made using an early 2000s edition of Java.

Gameplay

Like many fruit machine style slots, Lucky Hot is played on a three by three grid.

Payouts are for three in a row so there are five win lines corresponding to the five straight lines of three you can form.

There is a gamble feature allowing players to play double or nothing for their winnings. The game is a simple red or black style game where you must predict the colour of the next card off a deck.

There is no Wild symbol and no bonuses or free spins in Lucky Hot. However, it does have multipliers for a filling every spot on the reels and there is a system of jackpots.

If you hit nine of the same symbol then the payouts for the five winlines which you will hit are doubled.

At the end of a spin, the jackpot can be triggered. Should the jackpot be randomly triggered at the end of a spin, then the player is offered a picking game with twelve cards. Each card has the name of a jackpot on the back and the player must pick cards until they get three of the same kind.

The corresponding jackpot is then paid out to the player. Naturally, the cards for the highest jackpot are less frequent and the smallest jackpot are most frequent.
