Theme and Storyline

The "Hot" series of games from EGT are a huge franchise of fruit machine style games of varying simplicity or complexity. This leans simple.

The theme broadly then is old school one-armed bandit. Fancier graphics, but still just depicting fruit, stars, and lucky sevens.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The graphics are simple but clean. The reels are black with a green background and clear iconic symbols overlaid.

The animations add just enough spice to keep things looking good.

The sound effects are just basic spin and win sounds. No music to spice things up.

Gameplay

Ultimate Hot is a three reel slot with three rows. Any three symbols on all three reels in a straight line makes for a win. This comes out at five win lines.

Ultimate Hot sports a basic gamble feature, where the player can go double-or-quits for their winnings. It also has a jackpot feature (see below for details), but no bonus game.

This doesn’t add up to a lot of gameplay, but this sort of fruit machine style game tends to be for fans of old school minimalist style slots.

There are no Wild symbols or bonus games.

There are four progressive jackpots in play. In ascending order these are the club, diamond, heart, and spade jackpots.

At the end of any given spin, a jackpot can trigger. If this happens, the player is given a picking game, in which 12 cards are dealt out. The player turns the cards face up, until they have three cards of the same suit. The player then wins the jackpot of that suit.

The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€0.05 up to a maximum of $/£/€30.00 per spin.

The volatility of this game is low, which makes it a very poor match for our preferred slot machine strategies. Our slot strategies target the highest possible volatility. Combined with the low RTP, this slot is not doing well in our view.

Conclusion

While this slot is a well made minimalist fruit machine style slot, there are plenty of other slots that do as good a job. And those slots aren’t as expensive to play, with extortionate RTP. They also tend to be higher volatility than this one and so are better suited to our preferred strategies.

No amount of quality in the gameplay or style could make up for the RTP. Give this one a skip.
