A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

As you've come to a public forum, could you explain three things:

  1. Are you legally allowed to accept UK customers given you are not a UK licensed operator?
  2. Why do you allow customers with an active GAMSTOP to play?
  3. Why are all your card and bank transfer payments directed through all sorts of murky merchants with wrong MCCs etc?

Santeda operates as an offshore entity, licensed and regulated by laws of the Curaçao gaming license.

While we are not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, we adhere to international standards for responsible gaming, security, and fairness.

Our services are available to players from a wide range of jurisdictions where online gaming is permitted, and we advise all customers to ensure they are in compliance with the laws of their respective countries before engaging with our platform.

We understand the importance of responsible gaming and take the issue of self-exclusion very seriously. Santeda B.V. does not knowingly accept customers who are registered with GAMSTOP. However, as a non-UK licensed operator, we do not have direct access to the GAMSTOP database, and it is ultimately the responsibility of individuals to ensure they do not breach any self-exclusion agreements.

We encourage all players to gamble responsibly, and we provide various tools on our platform to help manage gaming habits.

Regarding your concern about the use of third-party payment processors and incorrect MCC codes, we aim to provide our customers with the most secure and convenient payment methods available. Payment routing and merchant codes are determined by third-party financial institutions and payment providers. While we do not control their operations directly, we are committed to working with reputable and secure payment processors to ensure all transactions are handled with the utmost care and security.

We appreciate your understanding of these matters and are always available to address any further concerns you may have.

If you require more information or need assistance, please feel free to contact our customer support team.

Best regards,

Santeda B.V.

I’ve had a notification saying Santeda have replied to my post on here 2 mins ago but I can’t see it and when I click in to their profile it’s not visible. Am I being stupid?

If Santeda International B.V. really operates in "full compliance with industry regulations," then you should have no issue confirming which authority issued your licence and providing the licence number.

It’s also misleading to claim that all chargeback requests are fraudulent. Chargebacks are a statutory consumer right when services are misrepresented, withdrawals are blocked, or the true merchant identity is hidden behind unrelated processors.

And let’s be clear: if you are operating unlicensed, your terms and conditions are irrelevant. Consumer protection laws override them, and customers are not bound by unenforceable agreements.

Threatening players with "legal action" for exercising their rights looks more like intimidation than transparency. A genuinely regulated operator would openly publish its licence, comply with exclusion schemes like GAMSTOP, and process withdrawals fairly. Until that happens, claims of being "fair and transparent" don’t hold weight.

how did you get a refund from nikotpf?

Santeda

as a UK customer, you need a license with the UK gambling commission, which you don't have, i put my details in upon sign up and provided a license with my address in KYC checks, which you approved both, yet no UK license, you broke UK regulations by doing so, so you aren't regulated by the relevant authorities as you have claimed, i have processed a complaint with the UKGC and provided evidence as such.

I just wanted to remind all users that chargeback claims for losses incurred through legitimate gameplay are considered fraudulent actions. Any attempt to reverse payments after services have been rendered, regardless of the outcome through any Santeda B.V. platform, is not only a violation of our terms but also an abuse of the chargeback system.

Please be aware that we take any fraudulent activity seriously. Those found attempting chargebacks in bad faith may face immediate account suspension, legal action, and the involvement of relevant financial institutions to resolve the dispute.

We encourage all users to review our terms and conditions carefully and to reach out to customer support for any concerns, we will not respond to additional comments and you should contact us through the appropriate channels.

Sincerely,

Amy S.

Not true, you need a UK license to operate to UK customers, which you don't have, i'd urge anyone who's used a Santeda casino to file a complaint to this email - [email protected]

Attach all evidence where possible when they reply

Ignore. Amy S is just the customer service person who’s replied to some of my stuff. They also won’t explain how accepting UK customers is legal.
