A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

I think many of us were simply honest about the gambling aspect, not judging anyone who does differently but I think when banks hear gambling they don’t care about whether it’s unlicensed or not they just want to wash their hands of any disputes pertaining to gambling.

No and so was I honest originally brought up gambling but I learned my lesson very quickly with advice from this forum. Regarding honesty, whether its.. wrong mcc.. goods not received.. it's all honesty at the end of the day. So be smart how you approach it with the bank. They have rules to abide to that's why it's important to research the situation and work it in your favour. Everyone's been scammed by being played. Play the game back.

Quick search.. Niko Technologies says on the website they don't serve clients from the United Kingdom. If Nikotpf is on your statement this is a clear breach of their own terms of use. Nikotpf = Niko-technologies.eu

I have considered it just to recover the vast sums lost but I’m a bit of a worrier and I’ve heard people getting CIFAS markers and such which is scary to me. My situation is also different in that 95% of my transactions were (and this was stupid of me) bank transfers but I can see the temptation to go down the ‘goods not received’ route if I had the same amount in chargebacks as a possibility. I don’t judge anyone who has fallen victim to these sites, I judge the sites, banks and authorities who allow them to thrive.

Can you keep me posted how they respond, like I said I have 3 very large Nikotpf* merchants that have n way of contacting.

Do we know if many people have received refund directly from the Merchant?

Wondering if there's any way of putting heat on them to make them refund?

It's not your fault that you used bank transfers. A lot of the times these casinos limit your options and direct you to pay by transfer as they decline card payments.

Keep on at them. They'll likely respond with 'we are just the technical provider for the merchants'. In that case you may be able to find contact details through them.

I wouldn't worry, in the near future this will all come to light in the media. The santeda sites were fined 7million by Spanish authorities. The UK are slowly stepping up and I don't think it will be long before the same happens here.

Can you screenshot where you got that info please? I can only see it on the FCA website. It would be helpful if their own website stated it aswell.
