According to casino guru's safety index page, the following factors are considered in the review process

  1. Size of the casino
  2. Player complaints
  3. Deductions for restrictive or unfair practices

So let's take a look..

Size of the casino

According to the TOS of iwild casino (section 9) here are the maximum withdrawal limits:

  • per transaction: €400 or ₽33 000
  • in 24 hours: €1200 or ₽100 000

That's laughable.

I didn't know it was that bad when I signed up. It's still my responsibility but honestly this is why I check ratings on Casino Guru or AskGamblers.

I expect a casino with a 9.2 rating and a "very high" safety index to have much higher standards.

This is obviously a very small operation and they simply don't have the resources to process withdrawals in a timely manner.

Player complaints

This casino has plenty of serious complaints. I know they are real because i've had the same issues.

Awful KYC process.

They will challenge you to provide "extra documentation" 8-12 hours after your first withdrawal. Good luck figuring out why your document was rejected. You never get emails from a real person with a name and contact info.

Slow withdrawals and random cancelations without any explanations or notifications.

I've also had an issue with the withdrawal system simply failing when trying to submit a request. I've never seen bugs like that at other casinos. Response from support: "try again tomorrow".

TOS say "All withdrawal requests are processed by the financial department within 24 hours after the successful identity and account verification".

Simply not true. It took 10 days and I was fully verified.

Responsible gambling tools don't exist. You have to send emails to support and hope for the best. I've asked for my account to be closed and they responded to me with a bonus offer to keep me gambling. That kind of behaviour is predatory.

You may think getting paid after 10 days or 30 days is no big deal but it's extremely stressful when you're dealing with a chatbot for support.

I asked iwild very politely if they could commit to send me my withdrawal within 2 weeks and they did not give me an answer.

It's awful being in that situation. You have no idea if you're being scammed.

Huge casinos like Stake have fast payouts and yet they have a rating of 7.9. Don't get me wrong, I have my issues with Stake but when I make a withdrawal on Stake I know my crypto will be sent to my wallet fast. I don't sweat it.

Please consider reviewing the rating of iWild so other players don't get treated like shit.

Romi, to actually defend this casino is very bad optics. You know that right?

You probably didn't understand my point here.

I do not defend the casino; I just say that unfortunately, if there is no unresolved complaint, we are not able to lower the safety index of this casino.

It is surely very understandable that you and many others are frustrated over it, but there is not much to do. I hope that at least we can help get players their money.

I hope you can understand.

I would like to thank you for this long post, which can really be helpful to others to gather more information.

Please read our article about how we review online casinos, and maybe it will help you to better understand our work and the whole process behind the safety index of each casino.

Every casino is different and has different pros and cons, and therefore it is really difficult to compare them, I believe. That is why we take every and each of them individually, and our data team prepares the review for these casinos precisely and collects all the information available so we can inform our users about how they work. Of course all our users help us and others to gather even more information by writing about their experience from each casino they have played at.

I know how frustrating it must be to wait for your payout for a long time, and I surely understand your frustration. That is why we always try to help players with their complaints, which are completely free of charge, by the way, to investigate and intervene in all the matters and to get the best possible result of each complaint.

When it comes to closing an account at any online casino, it is really important to state the reason. If the reason is just, let's say, "I didn't like the games. Close my account." It is understandable that every casino would try to keep you there.

If the reason to close the account is a gambling problem, it has to be clearly stated, and the casino should act immediately, of course, as it is a really serious issue.

I hope that my reply will be somehow helpful, and if you have any questions, we are here to answer them.

Hi Romi,

All I’m able to glean from your responses that you will continue to:

INFORM(promote as far as I’m concerned) players on how great IWild is.

EDUCATE players about the intricacies of your rating system and how we just don’t understand how great of a casino IWild is.

DEFLECT complaints and gaslight players convincing them they are actually being treated very well by IWild since they don’t outright steal your money but effectively block your withdrawals as long as they please.

Here is how I see CasinoGuru’s actions:

They are like corrupt law enforcement who pretend they are on your side and then help the criminals steal from your pocket. Just my opinion.

I agree on both sides....I've been waiting for a withdrawal of 40 since November 1st..lol..for each email you wait a week...

Nice games and everything was even in my top 5.. ....but when a withdrawal exceeds 24 hours it is inconceivable...the worst mess...to stay away..

Ya it’s pretty bad. Very bad optics for casino guru to hold this one so high like that. People lose their shirts playing at casinos when they follow ratings advice from what they think is a site that tells them the straight goods. This is almost the highest rated casino in casino gurus books. Hmmm. Very strange.

What's funny to me is when I look at other casino's page I see warnings like this:

Important: Win limit of €100,000 per day. This casino has a win limit rule. You will not be able to win more than €100,000 per day.

That casino's rating ? 6.2

iWild won't let me withdraw more than 500 CAD !

100k win limit ? Probably not a problem for 99% of players.

500 CAD withdrawal limit ? HUGE red flag.

Yet casino guru promotes them. Weird.

Hi.

"INFORM(promote as far as I’m concerned) players on how great IWild is." - Yes, we do inform players about all the online casinos in our database, good and bad ones. We do not promote them, though, and I surely have never said that iWild is a great casino. Have I? 🤔

"EDUCATE players about the intricacies of your rating system and how we just don’t understand how great of a casino IWild is." - We surely would like to "educate" our users if they have the need to be "educated," as you said, by gathering all the information possible and showing everything clearly on our website. And, again, we have never said that iWild is great.🤷‍♀️

"DEFLECT complaints and gaslight players convincing them they are actually being treated very well by IWild since they don’t outright steal your money but effectively block your withdrawals as long as they please." - Can I ask you if you have ever submitted a complaint with our team and they told you that iWild is treating you well? 🤔 I really don't think we have ever said that to any player, but please prove me wrong if you wish.

"They are like corrupt law enforcement who pretend they are on your side and then help the criminals steal from your pocket. Just my opinion." - We always aim for fair play. If the casino is right, we stand by them. If the player is right, then we are on his side, of course. We gain information, state facts, look for proof, and then come to the conclusion. Our whole complaint resolution center does everything possible to help players if they are not treated well, and we never charge anything for complaints.

So, I hope this will help you to somehow understand our situation.

Ya naw.. this is a complete scam site and you have your hands dirty. Shame on you. You really shouldn’t promote a site that is clearly scamming people. Especially in this day and age where customers money shouldn’t be disrespected like this. You guys really should re evaluate your morals in this. People see a super high rating, a bunch of phoney bot reviews about how awesome this site i, and how fast withdrawals are etc and get duped. And you are in on it.

just wear it. It’s part of you.

Why is it that your site promotes such a scammer site tho? Everyone wants to know???

I am not going into all this again, sorry. I have already explained our position.

Please wait for your complaint to unfold and see what can be done in your case. I hope our team will be able to help.

Horrible. The casino just refuses to pay winnings to players. It takes weeks. This is a scam.

I know, and they gave them pretty much the highest rating. Never seen anything like this and I play on lots of sites. Fairspin pays out within 20 minutes. And that’s e-transfer! I’ve won 3k in 30 mins and had the money in my account within an hour at FS.

ive won a couple grand here at this ‘iWild Casino’ and it took 30 days to get half of it back.

I've been waiting for almost two months...they blocked my account now...
