Fire up your pistols and get ready for another showdown in the Wild West in the cowboy-themed slot Wild West Duels.
Pragmatic Play has sprinkled some magic on this game, which contains hats, boots, cartoon cowboys, and, of course, a sack of gold.
Despite joining an oversaturated gaming theme, Wild West Duels should appeal to players who like a sense of adventure and wish to take on gunslingers.
The soundtrack used for Wild West Duels is stereotypical, and in accordance with what we expect from slots of this nature.
Slow guitar notes exude a sense of calm, but this helps to set the scene.
Pragmatic Play has produced some sharp graphics, featuring symbols such as a detailed cartoon sheriff and a Western belle set against a wooden frame.
In the background, a dusty town, complete with derelict taverns, gives this game an authentic feel.
Great for mobile devices too, the graphics and soundtrack sync up well in Wild West Duels.
Wild West Duels is played on a 5-reel, 5-row grid along with 15 fixed paylines.
Wins can be assembled by matching at least 3 symbols on adjacent reels from left to right.
The sheriff is the most valuable symbol on the board, paying up to 20ₓ your wager for a 5-of-a-kind win.
The bag of gold represents the Wild symbol, so it can stand in for others to help complete wins. In Wild West Duels, the Wild can randomly expand to fill the reel, and multipliers of 2x to 100x can be applied.
Wild West Duels comes with 3 Free Spins Features. In the Beer Game, players must hit at least 3 Beer Scatter symbols to trigger 10 free spins. Special Wilds appear that have 2x or 3x multipliers that lock in place for the rest of the feature.
In the Duel Round, players are required to hit 3 or more Duel Scatter symbols to trigger the Duel Free Spins. The round awards 10 free spins, and the Expanding Wild feature is available. This feature can't be retriggered.
To activate the Lost Relics Feature, players need 3 or more shovel symbols to pop up in the same spin. The round awards 3 free spins, but before the free spins start, you will see a grid of 25 shovels, and you need to pick 9 of them. This will reveal a guaranteed number of wilds and multiplier values.
Wild West Duels offers a maximum win of 20,000ₓ your wager.
The Return to Player (RTP) for this game meets industry expectations as it sits at 96%. This is good, as high RTP games tend to pay more back to players over time.
We tested the range of bets for this game, and the minimum spin permitted for Wild West Duels is $/£/€0.20. The maximum bet afforded is $/£/€100 per spin.
Luckily, this game meets our criteria for preferred slot machine strategies as it is highly volatile. With higher volatile games, players get the chance to bag some bigger wins, albeit they might have to wait a while to achieve this.
We recommend you have a go on this highly volatile, high RTP (96%), cowboy-themed slot.
Wild West Duels is an excellent addition to the stable of cowboy slots at Pragmatic Play, and it draws some comparisons with Cowboy Coins in terms of style.
Plenty of bonus rounds and a strong maximum win amount should sway players too.
