Treat Yo' Elf takes players on a journey to the North Pole.
After a day of playing in the snow, players will help Santa’s elves prepare for the most magical night of the year: Christmas Eve. Plenty of decorations, candy, and presents await in this cheerful world.
This slot will appeal to players who are in a festive mood.
The soundtrack of Treat Yo' Elf is a lively piano melody blended with sleigh bells. This helps to establish the holiday atmosphere and make players feel as if they are at Santa’s workshop.
The reels are adorned with evergreen garlands, lights, and bells. In the background, players will see a snowy village where Santa’s elves seem to live. The cottage windows glow softly, looking especially welcoming in the cold.
On the reels, players will meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and a variety of friendly elves. The animation style brings to mind classic Christmas cartoons, adding a nostalgic element to this slot.
Christmas ornaments can also be found among the symbols, including glittering balls, pinecones, and candy canes.
Overall, the animation and soundtrack create a whimsical Christmas world.
Treat Yo' Elf is a five-reel, three-row slot, with up to 20 win lines. Players can opt to play the base game with 5 or 10 win lines, and during the Free Spins feature the number of win lines is automatically doubled.
All win lines pay from the leftmost reel towards the rightmost.
The maximum win for this slot is 5,000x of the player’s total bet.
If players wish, they can buy into the Free Spins bonus for 70x their total bet.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all regular symbols. Regular Wilds as well as Stacked Wilds are available.
Any win that includes a Wild symbol also awards 5 Free Spins. The value of the Wild win is noted for the Scatter Repeat Pay and awarded when every Scatter Repeat Pay lands during the Free Spins feature.
Players are awarded additional free spins when they land new Wilds during the Free Spins feature. As many as 5 spins can be awarded. The values of any new Wild wins are added to the Scatter Repeat Pay value.
Gift Bonus Scatters can appear on reels 1 and 5 during the Free Spins feature. Above reels 1 and 5 an indication of cash value will be displayed, changing for each spin. Landing a Gift Bonus Scatter simultaneously on reels 1 and 5 will award both cash prizes.
The return to player of Treat Yo’ Elf is 95.69% during the base game, below our yardstick for an average of roughly 96%. However, when players buy into the Free Spins feature for 5 lines the RTP increases to 96.32%. Buying into the Free Spins feature for 10 lines increases the RTP to 96.47%.
The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€0.10 up to a maximum of $/£/€100 per spin.
High volatility would have made Treat Yo’ Elf a good match for our preferred slot machine strategies, if this slot offered a more favorable RTP.
We do not recommend this low RTP, high volatility, Christmas elf-themed slot.
Despite the heartwarming animation, Treat Yo’ Elf’s RTP is simply too low to merit a strong recommendation.
Mathematically -inclined players would do well to seek out a Christmas-themed slot that can offer them a more promising RTP.
