Treasures of Kongar is set in a pulpy jungle adventure ruled over by a big silverback gorilla called Kongar. His scarred face rules over the game reels, where cartoonish versions of leopards, tree frogs, snakes, and crocodiles appear. Behind him, a treasure-filled temple beckons.
This jungle realm will be an adventure for anyone brave enough to try to explore it, and there might be treasures to be found in the form of Kongar coins and huge red jewels.
This slot will appeal to anyone who enjoyed the novels of H. Rider Haggard or stories about Tarzan as a kid.
The graphics in Treasures of Kongar are fantastic. The world of the jungle is brought to life through idle animations for the gorilla both on the reels and in the background. When animal symbols are involved in a winning combo, they each have a little personalized animation.
The music is a bit obvious—a drum-driven jungle track—and the sound effects are similarly basic, matching the sound of the reels to the rumble of rocks moving. However, it all works with the theme and does a serviceable job of creating the requisite atmosphere.
Treasures of Kongar is a five-reel, four-row slot. Wins are generated by any combination of matching symbols on consecutive reels, provided the sequence starts from Reel 1.
The gameplay is simple and straightforward, without any cascade features.
The maximum win on any given round is capped at 15,000x the player's bet.
Wild symbols appear on all reels and substitute for all other symbols except for the Scatter and Coins. The Wild symbol is depicted as a giant red jewel. When one lands, Kongar collects it from the reels, adding two or three Coin symbols to the reels.
On any spin in which Kongar collects his jewel, he can also randomly trigger the Kongar Coins Bonus. This Bonus adds 2-3 Coin symbols to the reel. Each Coin symbol has a multiplier that will then be applied to any winning combination.
Three or more Scatter symbols will trigger the Free Spin Bonus.
During the Free Spins, the Kongar Coins Bonus will trigger on random spins. However, to make the Free Spin Bonus even more appealing, the Kongar Coin Bonus will add 3 to 5 Coin symbols, increasing the size of the possible multiplier.
Each Jewel symbol that lands during the Free Spin Bonus adds an additional spin, keeping this rumble in the jungle going for longer.
The return to player (RTP) of Treasures of Kongar is 96.20%, a little over our yardstick for an average of roughly 96%.
