The dead have risen, but the good news is that they can award wins of up to 27,000x when you play this Nolimit City slot game.
The game is set in a spooky graveyard, where skeletal hands reach up from the ground and a menacing raven keeps watch from atop a dead tree. Most of the game is in black and white, but each of the zombie characters comes with a pop of color, so they really stand out on the grid. You might even notice that some of them bear a frightening resemblance to some music stars of days gone by – we definitely spotted Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix.
The soundtrack is just plain eerie, with hints of howling wind in the background, overlaid with the crumbling noises of a decaying tomb.
The Crypt is played on a grid of six reels and four rows, and the aim is to land at least three of the same symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. There are up to 46,656 ways to win, as the game doesn't use traditional paylines.
The high-paying symbols take the form of the zombie musician characters, while the A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9 symbols award smaller wins. If you trigger a win, the Cascade feature removes winning symbols from the grid, so that others can replace them, and you'll get the chance to create more winning combinations.
The Crypt is packed with special features, so there's never a dull moment when you're playing.
The Wild symbol takes the form of the Grim Reaper, but you'll be excited rather than terrified when you see him. Wilds drop to the bottom of the grid, increasing the payout Multiplier for every step they drop. Wilds also expand to cover the whole reel.
The mystery xWays symbol can land on any of the reels, and it contains two or three of the same symbol. The xWays symbol expands the grid, which can create a maximum of 46,656 ways to win.
If you land three Scatter symbols, you'll trigger 10 Resurrection Free Spins. An additional Scatter gets you three extra spins.
A minimum of one xWays symbol is guaranteed on each initial cascade during the Free Spins round. Every fourth winning Cascade will turn one of the dead legends symbols into a Wild for the rest of the bonus round, plus give you two extra spins.
If you really want to activate the Free Spins round, you can use the xBet feature for 3x your base bet, and you'll be five times more likely to trigger the bonus round.
You can select your stake amount by clicking on the coin stack icon. Bet sizes range from $/€/£0.20 to $/€/£100 per spin. The Crypt has a Return to Player (RTP) percentage of 96.05%, which is above the industry average of 96%. The volatility is described as "Extreme", which means that larger wins are a lot more likely than smaller, more frequent wins.
The cool and creepy theme of this game will suit any players who love horror-themed slots. But aside from the theme, the special features are what really set this slot apart. We found the Free Spins round to be particularly fun, especially when the dead characters turn into Wilds, giving you lots of extra chances to win.
