Sew was created by the provider Shady Lady, and it's certainly one unique slot game. As the name suggests, it's themed around sewing… but with a horror element. We bet you've never played a slot like that before!
The game grid is set inside a vintage sewing machine, and the dark and gloomy backdrop really adds to the ambience. The background music is dramatic and haunting – definitely not a relaxing tune your granny might listen to while she sews.
Sew is a five-reel slot game where reels one, three, and five hold four symbols each, while reels two and four hold five symbols each.
Some of the gruesome symbols to look out for include a taxidermy ferret, a set of false teeth in a goblet and a teacup overflowing with what looks suspiciously like human blood. You'll be awarded smaller wins for landing preserved human organs like the heart or brain.
Sew has win ways rather than traditional paylines, so you only need to land enough of the same symbols on adjacent reels from left to trigger a win.
Sew comes with some exciting bonus features, including Hot Zones and Respins rounds.
During the base game, the Hot Zone feature can trigger randomly, adding these special zones to the grid. Within the Hot Zones, you might find Multipliers, Wilds, or both.
Landing three of the Scatter symbols (a creepy old granny) will trigger three Respins. During Respins only certain symbols can land, for example body parts and blank symbols. The body part symbols come with coin values and their positions are upgraded to Skin Patch symbols, awarding multipliers of up to 999x.
You can get into the Super Bonus round by landing four Scatters. It's very similar to the normal bonus round, but one position will be immediately upgraded to a Super Skin Patch, with a random Multiplier of up to 999x.
Use the plus and minus icons below the game grid to select your stake amount, which can range between $/€/£0.10 and $/€/£50 per spin. The game's RTP varies depending on whether you're in the base game or free spins, but it's generally 96.30%, which is above average. Shady Lady rates the volatility of Sew as 10/10, so wins aren't too frequent, but they tend to be pretty big.
