The Kozaks were historical Ukrainian warriors, so get ready to ride into battle when you have a spin on this Dream Play slot.
This fairytale-style game takes place in a luscious, enchanted forest. Watch the fir trees wave gently in the breeze, as mysterious lights emanate from the forest floor. The grid is outlined in gold and a rhythmic woodwind tune plays in the background. But the soundtrack really gets exciting when you start to spin - expect to hear the classic mechanical chinks from an old-school slot machine.
Kozak Quest is played on a very simple grid of five reels and three rows, and there are 10 paylines, which are active every time you spin.
To land a win, you'll need to align at least three of the same symbols on adjacent reels from left to right on one of the paylines. High-paying symbols to look out for include the warrior, a pair of crossed swords, and a gun, while you'll bag smaller wins by landing the A, K, Q, J, or 10 symbols.
Kozak Quest doesn't have too many bonus features, but Wilds and Scatters appear during the game.
The mysterious forest nymph acts as the Wild symbol, substituting for all other symbols except the Scatter. The Wild symbols also come with random Multipliers of up to 2x, 3x, or 5x, giving you a chance to boost your wins.
The castle icon is the Scatter, and you'll need at least three anywhere on the grid to trigger 10 Free Spins. During the bonus round, another three Scatters secure five more spins. The Free Spins round works exactly the same as the base game, so you don't need to learn any different rules.
The minimum stake amount on Kozak Quest is higher than we expected, at $/€/£0.50 per spin, and if you're feeling confident, you can bet as much as $/€/£750 a go. Unfortunately, the maximum win amount is quite low, at 3,000x your stake.
The game's Return to Player (RTP) percentage is 95.61%, which is slightly below the industry average. Kozak Quest has medium volatility, which might make for slightly less exciting play, but means that wins are more spread out.
Kozak Quest is a little more basic than most of the other slot games we've seen recently. While there are Wilds and a Free Spins round, that's really where the excitement ends. The game's average RTP and medium volatility don't make for the most thrilling experience either. On the other hand, the theme is fun and the graphics are decent, so if you're looking for a break from the usual gems or Egyptian treasures which tend to dominate slot games, this one might be worth a try.
