Fortune Gems 3 is set in the jungles of Cambodia where beautiful temples in the style of Angkor Wat stand behind the reels, while the player spins for rich jewels on the reels.
The setting is tranquil and the views are splendid with the reels arranged on a stone wall that appears to be part of the temples themselves.
This slot takes the classic motif of jewels and precious stones and transposes them to an interesting setting.
The graphics of Fortune Gems 3 are stylish. They take the temple setting and use the style of the buildings to create a vibe on the reels.
The animations are simple but slick and work with the soundtrack to make the action clear and easy to follow. Everything is gilded with bright gold outlines, even the shiny jewels.
Overall, the effect is to create a fun engrossing setting.
Fortune Gems 3 is played on a grid of three reels with three rows on each.
There are five win lines and a fourth reel on which multipliers appear. These multipliers can range from x1 to x15. Additional effects include splitting symbols out to create even bigger wins.
The maximum win on any given round is capped at 10,125x the player's bet.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols in Fortune Gems 3.
With its simplified gameplay, Fortune Gems 3 does not have a separate bonus game. Instead, bigger wins are integrated into the base game using the Multiplier Reel.
The return to player (RTP) of Fortune Gems 3 is 94.45%. This is very low for a slot RTP and is a serious detraction from the enjoyment of the game. It is far below our yardstick for an average RTP, which is roughly 96%.
The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€2.00 up to a maximum of $/£/€2,000 per spin.
Fortune Gems 3 is a medium to high volatility slot, making it a decent match for our preferred slot machine strategies, but not the strongest. This is because our slot strategies target the highest possible volatility.
Fortune Gems 3 is a simple, fun slot. The integration of the Multiplier Reel makes the action feel seamless and complete.
The setting and artwork are interesting and unusual. Meanwhile, the RTP is very poor at 94.45% negating any benefit from the high volatility.
Overall, we do not recommend this slot.
