The celebrated Fishin' Frenzy franchise continues, this time with the launch of Fishin' Frenzy Megaways.
Blueprint Gaming has cast its net out wider, and there are some big catches to reel in on this game.
For those used to the intrepid fisherman's expeditions, Fishin' Frenzy Megaways will appeal.
Strangely, there is no set theme tune provided for Fishin' Frenzy Megaways.
Instead, when players spin the reels, they will hear a whirring noise that is commonly associated with classic fruit slots.
Nevertheless, Blueprint Gaming hasn't taken any shortcuts with the graphics, which, we may add, are impressive. The reels are set underwater, and among the symbols displayed are a fishing rod and a seagull.
Against the backdrop of beautiful coral, players are immersed in an incredible aquatic adventure.
Overall, the graphics are exquisite, but it would have been nice to have a soundtrack to go along with them.
Fishin' Frenzy Megaways has 6 reels, and there are 15,625 different ways to win playing this game.
Wins can be assembled by landing at least 3 matching symbols across the paylines from left to right.
Of the regular-paying symbols, the seagull carries plenty of value, as a 6-of-a-kind win returns a cash prize worth 200ₓ your bet.
The Wild symbol in this slot is represented by the fisherman. He can substitute for all other symbols, except for the Scatter or Bonus symbols, and he can appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Reel Multipliers are also imbued in this slot. Each of the 6 reels has its own multiplier. Whenever a Wild appears on the reel, its multiplier value increases. Multipliers don't reset during the bonus round.
Apart from the Wild, there is only one bonus game available in this slot. The Free Spins feature is activated when players land at least 3 Scatters, and players will receive the following allotment of free spins:
During the Free Spins, if the fisherman comes into view, he can catch any of the blue fish that land and claim extra wins. The blue fish have values up to 50ₓ the bet, but remember, free spins can't be retriggered to claim additional wins.
The maximum win is up to 250,000ₓ your total bet.
Fishin' Frenzy Megaways has an above-average Return to Player (RTP) of 96.10%. High RTP games are inviting, as, on average, they tend to offer better long-term value to players, which can also be beneficial when meeting wagering requirements, if any need to be met at a casino.
This game has a small betting range where minimum bets start from $/£/€0.10 per spin, going through to $/£/€5 per spin, making it ideal for beginners.
Fishin' Frenzy Megaways is medium volatility, meaning wins are more evenly balanced. Our preferred slot machine strategies, however, target more highly volatile slots, where there is the potential to grab bigger wins, albeit less frequently.
We think you should take a closer look at this fishing-themed, above-average RTP (96.10%) slot.
If you overlook the medium volatility rating, the bonus game is exciting, and you get the chance to pick up some juicy wins.
A soundtrack wouldn't have gone amiss, but if you liked the other games in the Fishin' Frenzy collection, you are bound to like Fishin' Frenzy Megaways.
