Are you ready to take on the swarm of bees and try to bag your very own pot of honey, in the form of some sweet, sweet wins? The Wild Swarm slot by Push Gaming comes with a Free Spins round, collectable bees, and an exploding hive.
The entire game is themed around a beehive. While the grid is quite small in the middle of the screen, the animated background is impressive. Wild Swarm is set in a forest, and the backdrop includes subtle beams of sunshine, leaves drifting lazily in the breeze, and of course the beehive, front and centre at the top of the screen.
The theme music sounds quite cinematic, but there's no buzzing of bees in the background. Even the chime of a win is quite muted, to create a gentle atmosphere.
Wild Swarm is a very modern-looking game, but the general gameplay is quite standard. The game takes place on a grid of five reels and four rows, with 20 paylines which are active every time you spin. The aim is to land enough matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, on one of the paylines.
High-paying symbols to look out for include the dollar sign and the queen bee, while you'll get smaller wins for landing the A, K, Q, and J symbols from a deck of cards.
The hive symbol is the Scatter, and if you land three or more of these anywhere on the grid, you'll trigger the Free Spins feature. You'll get 7, 10, or 15 Free Spins for three, four, or five Scatters respectively.
Whenever a bee symbol lands during the base game, it's collected into the hive at the side of the screen and a Wild Honey symbol is left behind. The hive can collect up to five bees, and after that, any bees landing can trigger the Wild Swarm feature, which adds sticky symbols to the reels and gives you 10 Free Spins.
If a chest symbol lands on the grid, the Pick a Feature bonus will be activated. You'll get to choose between five hidden instant prizes, and you'll be awarded the cash value or Free Spins immediately.
The Return to Player (RTP) percentage of Wild Swarm is excellent, coming in at 97.03%. That's significantly above the slot game average of 96%. The volatility is in the medium to high range, which offers potential for some sizable wins, even if they don't come around as often as you might like. The minimum stake amount on the game is $/€/£0.20 per spin and the max is $/€/£100. The only downside is that the max win on Wild Swarm is quite low at 3,069x.
If you're in the market for a happy, sweet game, you could certainly do worse than this one. The graphics are excellent, and it's not a theme we come across too often, so there's a bit of uniqueness to Wild Swarm. The RTP of 97.03% is very impressive, although the max win could be a little higher in our opinion.
