I decided a long time ago: if I start playing on my emotions, I immediately close the site. I've never felt better after that. The next day, my head works completely differently.

What works for me is never topping up my balance during the same session. Once the money I planned to play with is gone, that's it for the day. Otherwise it's way too easy to start chasing losses

For me, the best rule would be to never increase the amount just because you want to get back what you lost. If I notice myself thinking "just one more try and I’ll recover it", that’s probably the exact moment to stop and take a break.

But if someone keeps trying to win back what they lost by depositing again and again, I don’t think that can really be considered having gambling under control. That’s often when emotions and impulsive decisions start taking over, which can easily lead to much bigger problems.
