A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Santeda International are such scum.

They let me open accounts with a lot of the sister sites last year despite stating that I was a problem gambler (after I got the first one closed). They reiterate that each site is it’s separate entity yet now that I’ve issued a formal complaint to velobet & donbet they’ve blocked one of my other accounts that I needed to take the transaction data from. I would love nothing more than these lot to be taken out.

Absolute scum

I’m trying to help someone who’s lost a significant amount of money to a casino called maximum casino. I cannot find any registration linking them to Curacao and I am leaning towards the idea that they may be a scam? Can anyone confirm this??

The legality of using wrong coding on payments has been laid out many times and is openly available within the Terms and Conditions of the payment processors. We have made distinctions before - worldwide gambling is a regulated good - by deliberately masking/routing payments as a non-regulated good you are breaking the law of ANY country. Imagine it was guns or pharmaceutical drugs - imagine they decided to just say, stuff it, we will just say this is grocery shopping to avoid any problems. This is dark web stuff.

Anyway - let's agree to disagree - but I find the scoring of this particular group appalling quite frankly. This is a group who openly ignore legal letters - they think they are untouchable.

Absolutely fair!

It seems we do agree on the importance of this topic, even if we view it from different angles. You're raising points that are worth discussing publicly, and it's great that players can see them and factor them into their own decision-making.

(None of what you're describing has ever been part of our rating system ,and it's not because we don't care but because it's simply beyond what the Index is designed to track or verify.)

And that’s why it’s so helpful that threads like this exist: so people can explore different perspectives and decide which criteria matter most to them when choosing a casino. 🙂

Honestly, huge thanks for sticking with me through this long and winding conversation.

Wish you a wonderful day and a chilling weekend.

I got an email today from Guru saying ive not been on the forum in a while so just updating ive signed up to MOSES again as spending too much time in bookies mainly due to machines as was winning on placepots getting luck but its best to just stay out of them as it leads to misery and it was getting tiring for me I have not went back near these online rogues since the last episode not even a search for them still waiting on 3 chargebacks going through been about two weeks now since raised and have not heard back from the FOS looking into my objection yet I got an option to change my username as well and I have as it was a security risk

Hey there,

It makes perfect sense, so I suggest that you inspect your account, email, and other notification settings and adjust the options to your liking. In summary, you are welcome to disable all those options.

I would do the same...

Got a total nonsense reply about my FOS appeal:

Dear Mr Mcewan

Thank you for your email and additional points which I've now looked int.

With regards to your reference to Mastercard, I can only look at your complaint and what you raised when you asked Revolut to raise chargebacks. Unfortunately, the information you supplied was insufficient for them to raise a chargeback which had a prospect of success. And a chargeback is not an automatic right or obligation that a card issuer raise a chargeback when a consumer asks for one. But we would consider it good practice for a chargeback to be attempted where the right exists and there is some prospect of success.

The gambling transactions you asked for chargebacks on were authorised by you, you were aware what the purpose of the transaction was and you supplied insufficient evidence to show that a chargeback could be successful.

From the information for other banks you have supplied it appears the chargebacks which were successful were only because the merchant failed to respond, and I note that it was successful when a merchant did respond, possible failure to respond from a merchant wouldn't be a reason would could say that Revolut could have used to raise a chargeback because the chargeback didn't appear to have a prospect of success. Telling them they should have raised one anyway just in case a merchant failed to respond would not be a valid reason to have asked them to do so.

With regards to the closure of the account, although the automated chat couldn't help with the account closure, Revolut did do what we would have expected them to do in advising you on how you could go ahead and close the account so we couldn't say they acted unfairly.

I'm sorry that this was not the outcome you had hoped for.

Yours sincerely

Went back with this:

Hi Lee,

This is nonsense ! you just do not get it these so called legal gambling sites you state are not that, they are money laundering criminals using illegal coding to bypass.

I got every single one of the chargebacks back from my bank and when they produced fake receipts for so called goods i was given the option to object which I did and won the chargebacks.

In fact they have now raised them for a third time for me what problem would it have caused Revolut to raise and try them for me ?

This bank is working with the criminals and you are alllowing them to do it.these site are breaking the law and not permitted to service UK gambling addicts.

Revolut are a shambles of an organisation. It literally depends on who your case is passed to to determine if they will do anything even if a case is foolproof.

Ill cite an example.

I had two identical chargebacks for Musicreverb and one for Bk John Enterprises - both shopping allegedly. Musicreverb was accepted and charged back without issue and funds received instantly - BK John rejected because not enough information initially and then 2nd time rejected as "we dont have chargeback rights in this case" - Im sorry but wtf. They are literally identical merchants - I now suspect that the acquiring bank must have been Revolut for the rejected one.

They literally are payment processors for a lot of the offshore casinos as well - there are huge conflicts of interest.

Hi.

I probably did not understand, but I was saying that in order to get rid of the automatic email notifications from the Casino Guru website, you are welcome to enter your Casino Guru profile and turn off all those notifications (like the "we miss you on the forum" reminder). Do you want me to turn them off for you? I can do that.

None of those notifications or emails carries your name and is only delivered to your registered email, so I'd say you don't have to worry about web searches.

But as I mentioned before, I might not have understood completely, so please help me figure it out, and I'll try my best to find a solution.

And I'd say there is no need to feel ashamed; we all have our struggles. You are hardly alone in this.
