A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Thing is just for example say someone not tech savvy was cold called and used a card to purchase illegal goods would the bank one decline first up or multiple times…no chance as it breaches consumer duty. Yet gambling and it’s as if we are cast aside as if we were selling drugs to kids.

Thing is a big bulk are Bytlab, I had partial refunds from them.. they refunded all the smaller denominations like £50 etc.. but they left all the 100s and 200s 😂 scumbags, hopefully plays in my favour

Yes can do. I had refunds direct from a few but not correct Barclays put through straight away.

I think there is angle there to say they refunded but not correct amount, as that becomes something different to gambling as it wouldn’t need to be mentioned. It’s tricky as you just want it back

Update on mine

Revolut rejected all the claims of fraud, saying I had authorised the payments.

Some of them I'd put as goods/services not received so they asked me to provide proof of contact with merchant (I have) I've spoken to them a few times on live chat and they say they are working on it. I asked all the rejections of fraud to be reopened as goods not received (thats not been done yet) 6 were rejected as goods not received and again put under fraud which they rejected today.

I've saved all the Revolut chats as PDF and I'm putting a strong case together.

I have 144 transactions to dispute in total. £52k worth.

I've had no response from the email I sent to Revolut as of yet however I have had a response from the FOS who have opened a case file for me.

So now I'm waiting to see what Revolut do I shall give them until the end of the week before contacting them again however I think I do have a very strong case with the FOS if they allow it to go down that line.

Shall see.

Since I went through all these transactions and realised how much I'd spent being rinsed by illegal gambling sites, I've not gambled since.

No way, no thank you.

Have you checked that FOS case I listed before relates to Revolut. With that many they should be picking up a pattern and they should not refuse to chargeback, it’s this wording again though and that case refers to it we say "fraud" or "scam" but it cannot be fraud in Mastercards terms as we authorised

it Revolut sound the worse. Keep on at them some have managed to win against them

Yes I read that last week before I initiated everything. I read it properly and is one of the reasons I've gone down this road.

Revolut don't have a leg to stand on here, but I'm playing the game with them. They are acting like they want to help me so I shall give them a few more days as said. Rejected 6 today as said 7 are open, 2 are to merchants reply. The rest I've asked to reopen no news on.

Did you read this article I posted?

https://www.finextra.com/blogposting/28365/neobanks-pay-attention-illegal-gambling-payments-could-sink-you

I've sent Revolut that in my email contact to them.

When I've mentioned FOS in one live chat the operator got all tetchy.

I'm not letting this go.

There's gambling which when controlled is fun and with controlled and regulated companies I have no dispute about.

This? is pure scamming and thats what these sites are. You win you never get paid out.

You have 0 chance.

That’s it, we just want it to be fair. We are all on gamstop and if they did the correct mcc we wouldn’t be able to play.

Good luck hopefully you get them to payout

I've won a lot off them, and even then I got screwed over.

You are never getting your money.

One of them turned off sports betting for me and pushed me towards there dodgy slots where I got addicted and blew a small fortune.

These sites are a complete scam and they know exactly what they are doing.

Regulated sites I have no problem with.

This is the whole argument, and it's correct too.

ONLINE DG Update: the bank has examined my dispute and has initiated the refund request, which is already a positive thing.

for TRNDBM instead I still haven't been able to find anything concrete but in a few days I will send the complaint to the bank
