Question about Gambling websites with Curaçao license using incorrect Merchant Category code (page 717)

me too, but I never received a response, I also found a site that is based in Africa.. I don't think it's this one.. my bank only says that the headquarters is in London, it can't tell me anything else even though they told me that I can start the complaint even if I haven't contacted the merchant

Are you sure mate? Mine were registered in India via my Google pay and had the location, can't seem to access it anymore tho. I have found this then.

I checked the site, it seems reliable. in my apple wallet it does not give me the location, the bank says london but I will try to send an email to this address and see if it will respond.

To be honest, Monzo haven’t been great at keeping things on track. They seem a bit all over the place when it comes to handling disputes. For a Mastercard chargeback, the process should take around 45 days, but they don’t really tell you that, instead, they just say it can take up to 12 weeks. It feels like they do that to give themselves extra time, which makes it hard to know what’s really going on. It honestly makes me question whether they’re properly set up to handle disputes at all.

Surely that's something that financial regulators can look into not just the ombudsman? FCA etc? They should have a strict complaints procedure in place and clear policies

Guys just a reminder - don’t be paying ANYONE for services on here. A lot of the information can be found if you search at the top for the companies you are looking for. Use chat gpt for complaints, emails etc to help your case. Theres a few people offering help & then once you email them they will tell you they are charging a fee for the information. It makes them no better than the scumbags we are trying to get our money back from.

they are the emails for them. They don’t respond however if you send them an email stating you haven’t received any goods or services it can help with going to the bank to chargeback.

well said! this forum was born with the purpose of helping each other and not to take money from someone who is perhaps desperate and could also fall for it. in my help when I know the contact email of some merchant, I think it is a mutual help.. today I help you tomorrow you help me.. in about 1 year I have obtained refunds for at least 10 merchants so from experience I tell you that if you take even 5 minutes to do a search 70% of the merchants can always be found, especially the skin shops.

I’ve tried both of those emails.

Starling rejected the claim saying they can’t handle gambling disputes, even though I claimed goods or services not received!

Now I’m waiting for an official reply to a complaint before going to FOS.

Go on their website Gainkit.com - it’s a digital skins site to buy add ons for games. The MCC they use is digital games, not gambling.

Judging by bank statement it says

Onlined (Onlined*dg) with category Digital Goods – Games. 

The location you see may reflect the merchant's headquarters instead of the actual transaction location (7 Bell Yard, London, England, Wc2a 2jr, BN1 4DU, London, GB).

I previously raised a complaint with Monzo about poor service and serious delays, which they acknowledged and compensated me for. But unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed I’m still experiencing very slow, unhelpful service. I should have had a chargeback resolved a week ago now according to Mastercard rules yet Ive still not had a response despite reaching out by email. The way they’re handling disputes continues to fall outside expected timeframes, including those set by the FCA and Mastercard. It’s frustrating because it feels like they haven’t learned from the previous issues at all.
