A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Has any one tried this route - since the casinos are all saying the merchants are PSPs (or is this what everyone is questioning when contacting their merchants)

In the UK, unregistered Payment Service Providers (PSPs) are those that haven't obtained the necessary authorization or registration from the FCA to provide payment services. Providing payment services without proper authorization is illegal and can lead to civil and criminal penalties, including fines and imprisonment.

Interesting. Illegal casinos tend to blame third-party processors for using fake credit cards.

It is obvious that an illegal casino cannot process legal payments.

Last week I sent a complaint to the payment processor and have not received a response.

If it's not illegal, it's unethical.

Thing is, one of my payment processors is Niko technologies who re on the FCA warning list And not legally allowed to conduct business in the UK, when brought up with Niko tpf they just pass the buck on to the merchants.

I'm losing all hope I'm way past 120 day time frame, starlings final response is not in my favour so now with ombudsman, I am back and forth with 2 casinos getting the same responses I hoping they will get fed up with me and just give me refunds, I've asked it to be escalated to senior "compliance agents" but it gets ignored. I have screenshots of all my deposits would it be worth my while requesting an sar? I really hope eventually that MasterCard are found to be in the wrong.

Anyone noticed Revolut have changed how they handle chargebacks? They send it straight to the merchant now and if they don’t reply then they start to look in to it for you. Crazy

I noticed that, but 3-4 days later Revolut will reject it. At least that's my case.

yeah same. I think they just hope the merchant will refund when they try and contact them

Raised 2 chargebacks with Chase.

One month later the merchant disputed the chargebacks. Chase closed my case saying the merchant sent them evidence. Now it's more than a month since they closed my case without giving me any chance to refute. I asked Chase to provide the evidence but they keep saying i'll get the evidence within 48 hours. Last week they admitted they have no evidence from the merchant "*****, As I was checking here on the case, it shows here that the Merchant has challenge the dispute and it has been escalated. We are requesting the Merchant to provide evidences regarding this case."

Can't escalate to FOS without a Final Response Letter. Need to wait nearly 3 weeks more without FRL.

E0000480 just replied to me this morning, is that promising or do they just ignore afterwards? They said they are doing an internal investigation and if transactions are identified as the reporting issues they will refund..
