A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

I saw they brought in £5 maximum stakes last week for online uk casinos. Unfortunately these rules don't apply to the illegally operating casinos we talk about. Restrictions aren't a thing to them.

file following the investigation that visa and MasterCard proccessed transactions in behalf of the offshore unlicenced casino, that what happens an update says,

i wonder if Visa MasterCard and PayPal will take it to the next level and sue those casinos for company damage in reputation. the casinos will get the big hit

Can someone give me some advice please, yesterday Revolut eventually raised some chargebacks for me, only a few hundred pounds worth, and the status was they were waiting for the merchant to respond but now Revolut either rejected them (the merchant did not reply yet, they just rejected them anyway as gambling-related even though I raised them as being miscoded transactions under Mastercard rules) or they have asked for further information.

Chargebacks are quite new to me as the vast majority of my deposits were SEPA transfers so can someone explain what information/documentation I should provide them with?

I tried to contact Mastercard last week. They just reply with:

"Thank you for contacting Ask Mastercard. We are sorry to hear about this situation.

However, so you are aware, Mastercard does not issue cards, does not maintain cardholder account and transaction data, initiate refunds or dispute transactions on behalf of cardholders, only the issuing bank does. We only serve as the technology provider licensing our network to banks ensuring payments are processed."

They can respond - they are interested in these cases at the moment. This is the last response I received.

Not for the department that is needed. You can try Ccing the ones you can find on Google. Not posting here as don't want them to stop taking or responding to emails because of an influx of them!

Nothing happens. Loads have tried for years. They forward on to casinos and threaten them but those casinos who don’t care just ignore the warning. Hopefully something legal gets passed soon so all payments must be refunded

Will see mate. The advice on what to send and to whom is coming from an expert in the field. If it doesn't work then so be it, but best chance.

I’m surprised the banks issuing the cards aren’t supporting more card holders. I know for me my cards issued me cashback and rewards for "purchases" since they were coded as that when gambling transactions don’t qualify - they are considered cash advances

Dear Mr Mcewan

Thank you for your emails and further details.

I'm glad to hear you're getting support and this is helping you.

I've also requested further information from Revolut so I'll need to wait to hear back from them but I'll come back to you as soon as I can.

Yours sincerely
