A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Be careful with the FOS.

I sent them 50 screenshots of me begging Revolut to block my account due to a gambling problem and the merchants were bypassing the gambling code. FOS said it’s my fault for sending the money to them and it’s nothing to do with Revolut

I’d like to bring to your attention that CLMNT seems to be you have to have an account registered with them to actually send and receive money which is very interesting and should mean we have the advantage here.

Surley bank has a responsibility to adhere to you request ? Is Revolout a bank or credit card ? I would report to the FCA as for the FO who was your assessor i am shocked at that response?

That’s disheartening to hear.

What about the source of funds issue? I have a Claims Management company assisting me as I found Revolut too frustrating to deal with personally so even though they will get a cut if I win anything back, I find it more reassuring them helping me.

Anyway, this company were saying Revolut have a responsibility to act and receive a ‘ping’ on their system when someone deposits a certain amount and they have to take steps like determine source of funds etc. which never happened so that’s one failing. Sorry I don’t know what this rule is called I will have to ask the company.

Always worth trying - but ensure you have every detail provided to backup your case before you submit them.

Me too, I will try to find out what that is called, it’s something to do with anti-money laundering regulations I imagine. Perhaps something to raise in your FOS appeal.

I’ve had this from Starling:

Although we sympathise with the situation, we've looked at the information and evidence you gave us and we are unable to make a claim for you. This is because the Mastercard guidelines state that we have no chargeback rights for any gambling transactions once the funds have successfully been paid into your account held with the merchant.

And to clarify - I was completely honest and told them what it was and that they were using incorrect merchant codes to mask gambling transactions. Have followed up with them but not holding out much hope.

This is incorrect - they are not gambling transactions as if they were then a correct MCC coding would be needed. People need to be a bit more savvy with this - you need to go in and say you purchased goods from whatever the merchant name is and have not received them nor any acknowledgement that they have been sent. Do not mention gambling as banks automatically go "Oh, gambling, nup we can't do anything with those".

Does anyone have experience with mrsloty.com?

They don't respond to the support email at all and I can't log into my account.

According to the reviews, they don't seem very credible.

Probably operates in the UK.

I would be grateful for any information.

But surely the banks will be like in my case anyway, there is 133 transactions to pixeleum.lo and 77 to finnart.lo plus countless others surely it would look more Sus that you keep trying to buy goods from the same merchant after not receiving them the first 10 times.
