A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

My transactions were way over 120 days ago too. I’ve just raised with FOS and will see what they say anyway mate, could be worth a shot.

Hi Paul.

yes it does mate. Worth doing I reckon tbh. Out of 4980 2220 have been upheld. Seems to be a bit of a 50/50 so I’d get in early while you all can.

Yes its like the bank chargebacks luck of the draw ! I will be doing mine as soon as the complaint reply comes in if required but hopefully I do not have too and they just get raised !

Banks will just fob you off if possible most of the time. Our only hope was payment processors / companies directly, but they cottoned on early doors after this thread become popular. Forced us to go through our banks and most of them don’t want to know as soon as you mention "gambling"

Hopefully FOS can shed some more light on this. Anyone who didn’t have a gambling block in place though is SOL I reckon from what I’ve read.

Ok I had gambling block on and had asked the gambling site to close the account due to a problem but they kept taking the money and added free bets ive sent all that to the bank

I’ve had many refunds from casinos and merchants (in the thousands) I started by emailing casinos directly saying that I have been told I’m eligible for chargeback under section 75 and that I’d like a direct refund from the casino otherwise chargeback will be processed. If they do not comply I email the merchant directly (they usually refund depending on amount) if this does not work I process a chargeback, I haven’t lost one yet.

Thats not happening now the casino dont reply or the payment company and the bank do not raise the chargebacks if only it was that easy !

There are some casinos and merchants who will simply not respond. If they don't then wait 7 days and chargeback as Goods and Services not received and use your emails to the merchants as backup and DO NOT mention gambling. If the merchants somehow dispute the chargebacks then they are simply admitting to their fraud!

I have two merchants -GetmyGameKey and CSskinspro that Revolut just informed me about that they have disputed the chargebacks. I dont get to see what they have sent in as proof, but it is going to be very interesting to ser the outcome.

The thing is you have no chance of pulling that off if you have about 20 transactions and they press you for answers on what you thought you were buying type of site etc you could do it with maybe on or two

Only supposed to be doing it once though tbh! If people continue to abuse it then it will, rightly, be stopped by banks and they will just close your account.
