A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Hi all,

Just had a call off chase bank after a 4 week scam and fraud case and they have declined any refund as they didn't see any scam or fraudulent activity.

I have an open complaint aswell saying I did not want it to go down the scam fraud route at the end if the day it should be a simple chargeback for non reciept of goods or services.

Despite elegro asking me to get my bank to start the refund process they are still not complying.

I am giving it 1 last shot with chase to process chargebacks and for the outcome of my complaint and then I will have to take it to the FOS.

I thought it would be a long but simple non reciept of goods or services.

If a bank have raised a chargeback attempt and it has failed then they cannot change it and do it as something else I am sorry to say. You need to raise it with the ombudsman now - only way.

It was initially raised as a chargeback and chase then said it was a scam/fraud case.

It got declined today as they said it wasn't scam/fraud.

I still have my open complaint which has 2 days left stating that pixeleum and finnart.io are crypto related and should have been blocked and its not my fault that the merchants have used an incorrect MCC to bypass this.

Any help now would be great as I'm nearing rock bottom.

Do you think I'll get a refund down the fact it was crypto related and should have been blocked.

Just go to the ombudsman don't lose hope yet. The more people that go to the FOS about this and succeed, the more they and the UKGC will crack down on it.

That's my way of thinking anyway.

I intend too but I don't really know where to start and its the money side of things now I was really hopeful following this thread I'd get my refund as others who bank with chase and the exact merchants had successful refunds.

I'm hoping they will refund my as pixeleum and finnart.io are 100% crypto related and should have been blocked I just don't really know how to word it.

Okay!

I am looking for everyone that has had the third party vendor "canapay".

I have been in contact with them and they are requesting passport photo/ID photos as well as proof of address. I am reluctant to do this as I do not feel this is necessary for a refund.

Has anyone had any luck witht them? If not I have an idea!

Can anyone help me with 100% proof that pixeuem and finnart.io are crypto related assets and should have been blocked by the bank. The bank are said they are not liable for a company using an incorrect MCC but I feel they are and its not the customers problem?

If anyone can help me with chase bank to get them to understand they should have blocked these transactions as they are crypto related despite the wrong MCC being used and to favour me the customer ill give anyone £100 if successful.

Any reason why these online casinos need your personal info??

Another succesful chargeback from Grottobook/Mydates via my other bank, about 6000 euro! I am so grateful that this one went through, now I Only have to decide if I date to raise a chargeback against Apperator (2000 euro) in the same bank. I am worried they would close my account if I try to push it with another claim.

In total I have received about 20000 euro in chatgebacks via my 3 banks and 7000 euro directly from the merchants (Elegro and some smaller ones). Feels so good to get some justice against the casinos.

Still need help apparently pixeleum and finnart.io have used the MCC code 5815 which is the correct code for NFT's so surely this should have been blocked by the bank?

Nicotpf have used the MCC code 8299 which is something to do with schools and education.

Still £100 for anyone who can help and be successful.

What email did you use for grotto/mydates ??

Just reading the MCCcode is for digital goods as in books and music aswell as NFT's.

Can anyone help me about how I go down this route with the omsbusden because obviously they have used the correct MCC.

I'm starting to doubt myself now.

Sorry!
