A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Hello, does it make sense writing my bank and requesting a chargeback beyond standard timeframe? I mean, if I give them enough evidence and proof they might consider doing it.

I've just got a response from Monzo in relation to a ton of individual transactions. They've declined my request, even after stating these companies are committing fraud via MCC, transaction fraud and money laundering.

They're providing an illegal gambling service. And doing this to circumvent my active gambling block on my account.

Seems like there's no way forward for me. Don't know what to say or do. I've lost £17k via monzo since the 1st of May, when my gambling block was active.

Feel so helpless!

Anyone have any more info on a Nikotpf active web lim? or the provider the merchant uses? it's what come up when i deposited using goldenbet

Also, my bank has forwarded my disputes to the relevant department, said it may take longer for the dispute to be settled "due to the nature of it" (them offering services illegally)

Got my fingers crossed they resolve it, if not i'm going to go to an ombudsman as they've (goldenbet) definitely acted illegally

Where did you authorize the transaction? Card or bank transfer?

I know someone who has a blog on his website as well as a transaction blacklist.

We could arrange something and the post would be permanently visible.

Has anyone got in touch with Mastercard or Visa and reported their bank for not complying with combating transaction laundering?

I've got a gambling block on my debit cards. Plus all credit cards automatically have a block on gambling in the UK, since 2020.

However, these transactions just bypass them. And yet our banks and credit cards expect to take no liability or blame, even though they can definitely claim back the money and not at all be out of pocket if they wanted to!

What's all of your thoughts on this?

Efter att dom ville att jag skulle skicka bild på mitt kort igår så fick jag detta svaret ikväll.

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for providing us with the details. We value your communication.

After a thorough investigation, we would like to provide clarity regarding Mobilum's involvement in your transaction. It's important to understand that Mobilum is not the merchant directly responsible for these transactions as they were facilitated through a different merchant. Therefore, we kindly advise you to reach out to the counterparty with whom you conducted your transactions or have an agreement, as they hold legal responsibility for any refunds and subsequent actions.

Issuing refunds for transactions processed by third-party merchants would deviate from Mobilum's standard procedures and could raise regulatory concerns.

If you believe you have been a victim of a scam, we strongly encourage you to contact your bank/card issuing institute for further action and next steps. As a payment service provider, Mobilum is committed to assisting our users by reviewing chargebacks or claims as required by official orders. However, please note that we do not accommodate direct refund requests from individuals.

Rest assured that should a chargeback be initiated, we are fully prepared to support your case through the appropriate channels.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I posted it before:

If a transaction is 3D-Secure verified, the liability lies with the bank. And the bank usually doesn't want to argue with the merchants about verified transactions if they reject or contest a chargeback. If you have a gambling block on your credit card, why would you authorize the payments again? So you could say: It's your own fault, quite honestly 😉

VISA and Mastercard have been overwhelmed by this issue for years, but they have nothing to do with the transactions; they only provide the system for payments. Everything else is handled by the banks and service providers; they only intervene indirectly in the case of chargebacks.

According to my information, the Visa and Mastercard system is outdated and quite easy to trick. If you have the necessary IT knowledge, you can program as you like 😉

VISA contacted me a few years ago after an inquiry, as did Mastercard. According to their information, the banks are dictating the MCC, so the corrupt banks in Nigeria, Kenya, Cyprus and Great Britain are to blame for the whole issue. Wirecard showed the way back then with gambling transactions and today's banks are simply copying it 😉 The credit card system related to gambling has simply ended up in the hands of criminals who process payments as they please.
