A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Is anyone familiar with goldenbet? I've deposited money and they're giving me the run around in terms of withdrawals, so i've done some research and even messaged their customer support, their license is "on hold" in their terms (curacao gaming board license i believe they said) are they even allowed to operate? should i initiate chargebacks as they're offering services illegally?

It's changed to nikotpf active web lim

they illegitimate just be careful how you initiate the chargeback and take screenshots of everything you most likely won't get your withdrawal

I've initiated a chargeback, just told the bank they advertised themselves as a legitimate casino when they're actually unlicensed and aren't legally allowed to operate in the UK and have provided proof in the form of them admitting their license is pending on the website and i quizzed the customer support chat regarding their license, resulting in the agent admitting their license is "on hold"... i wish i looked into them before i even depo'd... i contacted them again later asking to speak to someone senior and they just closed the chat completely. The transaction on my bank statement is also coming up something real weird that doesn't seem casino related in the slightest.

All these non Gamstop casinos are dodgey. What is the transaction showing on your bank statement? As we may probably recognise it. They use hundreds of different merchants which take the money. It never shows up as direct to the casino.

Well, like most people my chargebacks were rejected on the basis of lack of evidence. They offered me a final settlement of 40% which I will have to take.

The casino I was using is unlicensed in Australia and has actually been barred by internet providers here. I am contacting them in hopes of a refund as they are illegally operating here and should have Aus as a restricted country given their license issue. They’ve been given multiple warnings from our government but bypass the blocks by registering a new URL with a number…ex justcasino.com vs justcasino1.com

Small hopes, but worth a shot I suppose

It seemed legit on the face of it, there should be more done about these sites, their license is "on hold" according to them so its definitely not even legal for them to be operating 😂, it's showing as Nikotpf web active lim, which doesn't strike me as anything linked to the casino. I did contact them directly stating they shouldn't have offered me the services at all as they're not allowed to operate here and they basically said they don't care, it's my fault for signing up...

What do you think my chances are with the payment dispute 😂 not holding out but I've shown them a fair amount of evidence that they're not operating in conjunction with UK gambling laws

I hope they sort it for you mate, you'd think banks would be more suspect on these things considering how shady some of the stuff I've read about them is 😂 charge backs shouldn't be an issue for banned/unlicensed casinos, especially if they advertise themselves as otherwise... Then you've got the merchant codes they're using which aren't affiliated with the casinos themselves

I’ve done a lot of chargebacks. Most have been successful but their have been an odd few which claimed I bought digital art from them and stuff

Who do you bank with? Barclays and nationwide are best for chargebacks. I’ve heard Santander are hard to get them on board same as revolut etc

Nationwide usually, but for the gambling charges i used Chase UK as the currency conversion rates were better, unfortunately they don't accept SEPA either in the UK so it's kind of left me screwed, i've contacted them for the chargebacks and even elegro as they seem to be the payment provider for the casino merchant judging by the info i've dug up, also Nikotpf seems to have a few different merchant codes so i'm not hopeful of getting anything back if i'm being honest

You paid using bank transfer or direct debit?

Paid using my debit card (mastercard), like a normal online transaction, went to a Nikotpf Active web limited (seen a few variations of nikotpf merchants on this thread)

Did any of your successful chargebacks go go against grotobooks, helpersm, or Destream?

WINTERMDSE declined most of my chargebacks. Same as loopet

the ones who have accepted them from what I remember are

ENGYMA

BITSET EU

PAYMENT

TECHLILY

There’s defiantly a few more but I can’t remember unless I go look into my bank. I actually closed down my bank after I done all my chargebacks tbh, I just said to myself. My statement is a mess all these gambling transactions, I’m starting fresh. New bank, and now the worst thing which shows on my bank statements now is just eat lol
