Hi,
Many know it, but also many do not (here in the forum probably the former) - namely that many casinos do not have a valid gambling license for the respective country and their offer is therefore illegal.
Especially in Austria it is very clear, since there is a gambling monopoly here and only one provider has a valid license!
That is why many lawyers and litigation financiers have already specialized in the field of recovering losses from such "illegal casinos" and have mostly been successful.
So far, so good... or not so good, because I myself have known about this topic for a long time, but a good friend was more of a greenhorn in this regard and, in good faith, transferred money to such a casino via instant transfer ( unfortunately not a little) and actually only came across this problem by a happy coincidence.
And now I come to my actual question, because fortunately I haven't had any experience with this myself:
Because his bank has apparently become suspicious, they contacted him about the orders that had already been accepted but not yet executed, to ask him whether the orders had been commissioned by him or whether they could/should be released - in other words, it was still done no transfer to the casino.
Normally - as mentioned above - you have to go after the illegal casinos afterwards to get a refund, but in this case it would be different and so I advised him not to agree to the transfer under any circumstances.
It's definitely an "interesting" situation and regardless of my own point of view, I'd like to know what others have to say about it.
Thanks in advance!
