Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to ask for advice or support regarding my ongoing attempt to obtain a refund from Stake.

I am French, and I created my account using my real ID and my real IP address. I even have screenshots of my sessions as proof.

My total deposit was 2.32 BTC. I am hoping to recover at least 40,000 EUR/USD back.

I first tried with a French lawyer, who only sent a letter to Australia. Unfortunately, we never received any response.

Afterwards, I hired Roelof, but after making me wait for a full year, he finally told me to find another lawyer. He explained that it is very difficult to succeed in Curaçao because there are too many cases.

Another French lawyer asked me for 6,000 EUR upfront, without guaranteeing anything and without even explaining what actions he would take.

At this point, I feel desperate. Can someone tell me what I can do, or what office/legal authority I should contact? Has anyone here successfully managed to get a refund from Stake, or do you know of a lawyer or legal strategy that could actually work in this situation?

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

What Malta says is unnecessary; what matters is what the ECJ says.

Final arguments have already been scheduled, so we will find out in March/April whether we will see our money and whether Bill 55 will be overturned.

BREAKING NEWS: MANAGING DIRECTOR LIABILITY:‼️🔝

In Austria, the first Supreme Court ruling following the WUNNER case (ECJ C-77/24), which I brought before the European Court of Justice, has just been issued! The Supreme Court follows the ECJ and, in a lawsuit concerning the personal liability of the management of an illegal online casino for offering gambling without a license in Austria, has reached the following clear conclusion:

✅ Austrian substantive law applies pursuant to Article 4(1) of the Rome II Regulation.

✅ The international jurisdiction of Austrian courts is established pursuant to Article 7 No. 2 of the Brussels I Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 44/2012).

The Supreme Court has already made a substantive statement (❗) in this decision:

"According to existing case law under Austrian law, external liability of a company's organ can, in principle, exist for the culpable violation of a protective law pursuant to Section 1311 of the Austrian Civil Code (ABGB), whereby player protection provisions of the Austrian Gambling Act (GSpG) have already been classified as protective laws." (9 Ob 8/26f)

How are things with you? It's too quiet for me at the moment.

I have had a legally binding judgment against Jokerstars since January 2021 and haven't received an update from Dr. Peschel for a good two years.

When do you think Joker Stars will finally pay out?

I feel exactly the same way. A lot now depends on the European Court of Justice. As you know, the final submission is on April 16th.

Then it continues with appeals, etc.

I'm not expecting anything so quickly. I've written off the money. PF isn't providing any updates either.

What will be known on April 16th?
