Theme and Storyline

The Egyptian well is one to which the slot world has always returned again and again with its bucket. In Egyptian Dreams Deluxe we have yet another example of this trend. This time the style is made to stand out by a slightly goofy, cartoonish look.

That look is not quite enough to make this one stand out from the crowd of similarly themed slots, so in that regard, you can just throw it on the pile.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The graphics are pretty fun, with the symbols having a slightly comic twist on the usual selection of cats, pyramids and scarabs that make up Egyptian style slots.

The soundtrack is a pretty pleasing up-tempo version of that reedy sound that is movie soundtrack shorthand for Egyptian setting, with some electric guitar thrown in for utterly baffling reasons. Gameplay

Habanero's Egyptian Dreams Deluxe plays on a five by five grid, with the top two rows starting out covered by stone blocks and therefore out of play (see below for details of how the Unlock feature brings them into play).

The game is an any way wins game. This means that to count as a winning combination the symbols must simply be in consecutive reels running from the leftmost reel to the right. This also means as the two covered rows are uncovered the number of win ways can drastically increase.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except for the Scatter symbol.

The Unlock feature means that if a Wild falls directly underneath one of these blocks the block is destroyed. These destroyed blocks do not come back, permanently increasing the number of ways you can win until they are reset by a free spin round.
