Case summary

The player from Ontario had deposited $1,000 CAD at Blaze Spins Casino and accepted a 125% bonus. After completing the stated 1x wagering requirement, he found a withdrawable balance of $1,148 CAD, but his withdrawal request was rejected due to undisclosed "sticky bonus" conditions that resulted in forfeiting his funds. He sought assistance in determining the fairness of the casino's handling of the bonus and withdrawal. We reviewed the casino's bonus terms, which specified that deposit bonuses were for wagering only and might be deducted upon withdrawal requests, making the bonus non-cashable. Consequently, the complaint was rejected as unjustified since the casino's terms allowed for the bonus deduction despite the wagering completion.

I deposited $1,000 CAD at Blaze Spins Casino and accepted a 125% bonus of $1,250 CAD, resulting in a starting balance of $2,250 CAD.

The promotional email and bonus page stated "No wagering / 1x wagering on deposit + bonus" and used marketing language such as "No strings attached" and "No restrictions." Based on this, I reasonably understood that completing the stated wagering requirement would make my remaining balance withdrawable.

I completed the 1x wagering requirement in full. My account dashboard then showed:

Wagering required: 0

Wagering remaining: 0

Withdrawable amount: $1,148 CAD

At this point, my balance was $1,148 CAD, which represents a loss of roughly 50% of the combined deposit + bonus, while still being in profit relative to my real $1,000 deposit.

When I attempted to withdraw this amount, my withdrawal was rejected. Only after submitting the withdrawal was I informed for the first time that the bonus was considered a "sticky bonus" and that $1,250 CAD must be deducted before any withdrawal. Because my balance is lower than $1,250, Blaze Spins states that no funds are eligible for withdrawal and that removing the bonus would reduce my balance to $0.

This information was never clearly disclosed before wagering was completed:

Live chat and support never explained that completing the 1x wagering would still lock all funds

The account dashboard explicitly showed my balance as "withdrawable"

No warning was displayed that winnings below the bonus amount would be forfeited

The "sticky bonus" restriction was only explained after the withdrawal was rejected

I have screenshots of:

The promotional email stating "no strings attached"

The completed wagering status

The account dashboard showing "withdrawable amount: $1,148 CAD"

The withdrawal rejection and subsequent support explanations

I understand that bonuses have terms, but presenting a completed wagering requirement and a withdrawable balance while later denying withdrawal based on undisclosed conditions is misleading.

I am asking CasinoGuru to assist in reviewing whether Blaze Spins’ handling of this bonus and withdrawal is fair and transparent, and whether the advertised terms were applied correctly.

  • Could you please advise whether you have played with bonuses in this casino before?
  • Did the casino mention any specific rules they were adhering to in this case?

Dear Attila,

Thank you for getting back to me and for reviewing my complaint. I’m happy to clarify.

1) Have I played with bonuses at this casino before?

No. This was my first deposit and first bonus at Blaze Spins Casino.

I deposited $1,000 CAD and accepted a 125% deposit bonus of $1,250 CAD, resulting in a starting balance of $2,250 CAD.

The promotion displayed a 1x wagering requirement on deposit + bonus, which I completed in full. My account dashboard then showed:

Wagering required: 0

Wagering remaining: 0

Withdrawable amount: $1,148 CAD

2) Did the casino mention any specific rules they were adhering to in this case?

Prior to my withdrawal attempt, no.

At no point during gameplay, wagering, live chat, or within the account dashboard was I informed that:

Completing the stated wagering would still prevent withdrawals

A "sticky bonus" would require my balance to exceed the full bonus amount before any funds could be withdrawn

The "withdrawable amount" shown did not reflect actual withdrawal eligibility

These rules were only communicated after I submitted a withdrawal request, which was then rejected.

At that stage, I was informed that a sticky bonus of $1,250 CAD must be deducted before withdrawal, and because my balance was $1,148 CAD, removing it would reduce my balance to $0, making nothing withdrawable — despite wagering being fully completed and the balance being marked as withdrawable in the system.

I have screenshots of the promotional email (which stated "no strings attached / no restrictions"), wagering completion, account dashboard, and support correspondence, which I am happy to provide if needed.

Please let me know if you require any additional clarification or documentation.

Kind regards,

*****

Dear staycalm, thank you for your response.

I have read the casino's Bonus Terms and Conditions and this is what I have found:

1.7 Deposit Bonuses for Gameplay Only

Bonuses linked to deposits are solely for wagering purposes and cannot be withdrawn as real cash.

1.12 Withdrawals Affect Bonus Balances

When requesting a withdrawal, the Casino may deduct bonus amounts—up to the maximum allowed by the relevant deposit bonus—before processing the payout. Once a bonus amount has been removed, it cannot be reprocessed or credited back to the player’s balance.

While I completely understand your point of view, unfortunately, the casino's terms do state that bonuses are meant for wagering purposes only and can be deducted when requesting a withdrawal.

I would recommend reading our article about Cashable Versus Non-Cashable Sticky Bonuses: https://casino.guru/guide/cashable-vs-noncashable-bonus

Please don't hesitate to reopen this complaint if there is any additional information that I have overlooked. However, as of now, I am forced to reject your complaint as unjustified. I wish I could be of more help.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Attila
