This slot is themed around classic East Asian imagery.
Players will enter a world of warm colours and emblematic animals from koi to dragons. Most striking is a fiery sun symbol which holds the key to players’ fates.
The design of this game brings to mind a vintage Chinese aesthetic, though it is more a work of fantasy than a visit to the East itself. Still, the dreamy world is a lot of fun for players looking to escape into a realm of magic.
The soundtrack is mesmerizing with flutes, chimes, and an occasional jingle of a tamborine that will remind players of clattering coins. The gentle shuffle of reels makes pressing the spin button feel effortless, as if the mechanism was crafted from light bamboo.
Each symbol is ornately animated with even the letter symbols being decorated with lanterns and cherry blossoms. The animal symbols are especially impressive as they hover in their reels. In rich shades of gold, the phoenixes and dragons seem regal.
The sun symbol is laced with flames that flicker even when the symbol is sitting still. The heat of the giant golden orb is palpable and it seems more than worthy of being the game’s namesake.
Behind the reels, a vivid red wallpaper sets off the symbols, making the entire game feel immersive and vivid.
Sun of Fortune is a four reel, five row slot.
The player is awarded wins for landing at least 8 matching symbols anywhere on the reels.
The symbols lightly blur upon spins, which some players may find dizzying. However, the style seems intentional and many will get used to the visual after a few rounds.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus symbol.
If the player lands 6 Bonus symbols or more, this triggers the Hold the Jackpot Bonus. While in this feature, Bonus symbols of three sizes, Mini, Minor, and Major, may appear on the reels at random.
During the Hold the Jackpot Bonus feature, the player may win the Grand Jackpot of x1000 their total bet. This prize is awarded for accumulating all 16 symbols of any type.
When players land 3, 4, or 5 Bonus symbols, this triggers a re-spin with the Bonus symbols stuck on the reels. This means players will have a better chance of then triggering the Hold the Jackpot Bonus.
The return to player of this game is 96.15%, closely matching our average yardstick of roughly 96%.
