It could be that Pragmatic Play is using this as a form of advertising for its new games, and Casino Guru is paying for it. These incredibly high scores achieved by the top players might not even exist, and there might not be any prize money either. It could simply be a marketing strategy, and in real money mode, the games probably perform just as poorly as we've repeatedly experienced here.

I didn't win much in this tournament version, but I gave the game a second chance.
