It's based on previous experience with real slots and many friends who went into debt trying to win or at least recoup their losses. Regarding the free tournament, I've seen it in the few I've participated in, and it's an objective fact: after the top three win the money, thousands play, and none even come close in score. I observe this daily with other players, not just my own. Does that mean there's some kind of trick? No! I don't think so at all. It's simple slot machine math: they never lose. Once they award the big prizes, they won't award them again. Maybe they'll award a smaller prize or two, which is why no one manages to "dethrone" the winners once they've established themselves. I'll start by saying that anyone who loses money gambling and tries to win it back has a serious problem and should seek professional help. Gambling should not be seen as a way to make money, but as a hobby. Don't play all the time, just occasionally and with what you can afford.
As for tournaments, it's purely about luck, some people have less, some have more. It will never be the case that out of 5,000 people, 3,000 players will have a score over a million, which I think is logical based on how RTP and volatility works.
Maybe one day it will be you, but complaining about free tournaments or making comments about how you can't get to the players who have scored so many points is, in my opinion, quite sad. I don't mean this as an attack on you, because you're not the only one. I take it more as if you really have to complain about free tournaments, you should just quit gambling altogether.🙂
