The reason I play (page 2)

No, I don't play every day...but if we take it statistically in 1 month...let's say I play 10 days at most. And that's not consecutively

Look...I can't say for sure how often I make a deposit. I don't have money set aside...nor do I work every day...I also have 4 children at home whose needs are daily. Although whenever I have something left over I will put it in..otherwise every 2 months that I get paid from the child benefit I will leave 50 euros in the bank and these....I may lose a little bit...or increase them.

Do you have someone in your family who has become ill from gambling??? where they gamble away everything they earn....and blame others....and how do you manage all of this....?

I understand what you said before. You have a budget that you spend when you can. Anyway, if you have a better use for the money, I think it would be good to maybe not play. I don't play in casinos because for me personally it's a waste of money. I'm sure it could be put to better use on a trip or something I'd like to do. 

I don't have anyone in my family that I know of that gambles. 

Anyway, why do you ask? It's the fine line between addiction and fun in gambling. Some people don't want to admit it and then the problem can become more serious and I would always recommend seeking professional help.

I find this topic incredibly fascinating because it shows how different our reasons are. I'll be honest – for me, gaming used to be just a way to "switch off after work." I work from home a lot, am often alone, and these little moments of excitement sometimes made me feel somehow connected – even if it was just through a virtual slot machine. 🙈

Of course, the dream of winning is there too. But I've realized that it's often not the money at all – it's the feeling of accomplishing something, of being lucky when the right moment comes. That sometimes gives me more than an evening of Netflix.

What helped me a lot, though, was setting clear limits and only playing when I'm truly at peace with myself. No escapism, no frustration-filled games. Only then can I truly enjoy it. 🧘‍♀️💜
