The only time I played a south african online casinos was a very long time back when I was visiting the country. And it was great - nothing unusual or different from other online casinos. But, the main difference was the gray area that they operate in. It is very hard to say which south african online casinos are truly licensed or not and hence players just go in blindly. However, this has changed over the years and now there are many websites where people can check online casinos, their credibility and all. Like on here which is a great thing in my opinion.

I'd be very careful. I'd say the biggest scam casinos come right from the South Africa according to my experience and some of them have very dirty practices.

I have never played in a casino in South Africa...

Neither do I, and I probably never will, well not personally anyway. Online it could be done but I don't have any experience with those either. I assume you have no experience too, right ? Also my recommendations to players before were only for online casinos so I guess that's about it. 🙂
