A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

I managed to find a translated copy of the LOK (the Curacao iGaming regs) and interestingly there is a clause translated as:

Article 2.4(1)(j)

‘Based on an irrevocable decision of an authority in another country, the CGA is of the opinion that it has become sufficiently plausible that it is certain that the Gaming Licence holder is acting in violation of statutory gaming regulations of the country concerned’

Pretty sure that is a clear cut regulatory requirement that that Casinos cannot operate in jurisdictions where they would be acting in violation of the local laws. Ie the UK Gambling Act.

Yep. Waiting game mate, bit like the FOS

Be great if it was enforced, sadly half of the regulations in Curacao go out the window if the officials get paid enough money,hence why a lot of these shady casinos get licenses there to give their "businesses" some false sense of legitimacy

I can't believe how much I have learned throughout this, has blown my mind.

""I would also like to confirm that both Fresh Bet and Basswin are unlicensed websites. That being said, I have already passed this information on to our specialist team who look at unregulated activity.  At this time, we do not require any further details from you regarding these 2 specific sites.  For future reference you can report any site directly through our Tell us something in confidence portal""

Estonia

Hello, Thank you for contacting the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.To assist you further, we kindly ask that you provide more detailed information about your complaint. In particular:Do you recall registering or playing with any gambling operator? Were the charges related to gambling activity? If possible, please share the name of the gambling site, the dates and amounts of the transactions, and any supporting documentation (e.g., bank statement excerpts with transaction descriptors). At this stage, it is unclear whether the transactions you refer to are linked to a licensed gambling operator under our jurisdiction. Once we receive more information, we will be better placed to assess whether this falls within our regulatory scope and advise you accordingly.

Thank you for contacting the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA). We will respond to your message as soon as possible.If your message concerns a complaint, including a claim against a gaming operator or any other concerns relating to individual operators under the supervision of the CGA, please send it directly to [email protected].

Taken off CADRE website;

‘Please choose the operator you would like to complain about. Please note that we can only accept cases of Curaçao registered operators that work with CADRE as shown in the dropdown menu’

The drop down menu doesn’t have to usual suspects? Surely the rogues we’ve all dealt with wouldn’t be registered?

How unsuccessful? Did they even investigate your case? Or did you just get a straight answer that they wouldn't refund anything/what did they say? My Payop and yapily are currently under their investigation, which will take about 15 days.

Hi Kelly, I understand that PayPal received bank transfer payments? Checking my bank, I saw I had three transfers with them. Did you email them directly?

If you want, I can leave my email here and you can send me information. I have their contact information, but I would like to know how you spoke with them.
