A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Just heard back from my bank as I escalated things to a complaint. Basically saying they still wont do anything as there gambling related.

Despite mis-coded transactions non gambling related.

Yes Chase said they will open it but they always review for 10 days so hoping they process.

I expect the same result, but it does suck

I had email from the processor confirming who the merchants were. Then emails from the merchants saying they have no record so how does that not prove mis-coded transactions which are a violation of Visa and Mastercard processing rules am I not correct?

It’s very difficult to get the banks to do anything gambling with Mastercard not impossible as a few have but my advice is potentially go back and say it’s goods not received there is nothing written that says you cannot try again.

Yes likewise if Chase process which I’m hoping they usually do after the 10 days then I will let you know

Do you think I should try ombudsman. Starling also offered compensation for service. So kind them also holding hands up.

You can but you need to check back through the notes on here, a few have given good advice that went and won. It’s not an easy argument and a real 50/50, if you have gone down complaints then you can’t really chance goods not received on the same transactions but anything new I would go goods.

Have you gone to the gambling commission to ask them to confirm the specific casinos are acting illegally? It’s becomes a proceeds of crime and AML concern at that point.

I have had push back but when I sent this in they are literally attaching it to every dispute. Charge back are being refunded in days

That’s a powerful tool if you have mentioned gambling, really good advice for those that have gone that route

Did Barclays initially refuse yours? I’m on the goods route this time and I think the excessive amount I have done will be more of a challenge, although to be fair they said the only thing stopping it was the actual name of the game I wanted to play so hoping now all good. They do seem decent from experience.
