A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

I need some advice please. Has anybody had any payments go through Zen.com It was used for a payment gateway for a few of my transactions. On my statement the merchants are Brivory and ATHL. Although on my emails the zen payments have gone through as Zalvorna or Noltiro. Obviously Revoult are having none of it and just keep saying that because the payments went through at 3DS i authorised it, so nothing they can do. What else can i do about this?

Yes.

They returned it to me once for a chargeback. I think you will be successful. Otherwise, I found something on buton.com.

Thanks Paul - I raised chargebacks - they initially were approved then the merchant contested and money was taken back from me - so I sent it to pre arb and my bank just told me today it wasn’t successful - they have contested again and my bank have agreed with them ! Wahhhh - think I’m giving up with it all to be fair - don’t think FOS will help and it’s sooo time consuming 🙈

Ok that sounds odd usually they come back then if you want to object you send it then visa or mastercard decides not your bank

Pre-arbitration is a step in the process of resolving a disputed charge before arbitration. It's a chance for the cardholder and merchant to resolve the dispute without involving the card network.

For my Revolut case the claims management company I’m using who are fraud specialists said they have lodged my case now with the FOS but apparently there is a 6-month wait to be assigned an investigator let alone commence investigating my complaint.

Also, with Revolut there was a case I was reading about where someone was vulnerable, lost 84k to these unlicensed websites, they were requesting a refund and received only £300 compensation so things aren’t looking good.

I’m only resorting to FOS as Revolut are useless and my transactions, well the vast majority, were Open Banking transfers so can’t chargeback. I would still encourage anyone in a similar situation to pursue as far as you can but just be realistic about the FOS outcome. I’ve only seen one case where the Investigator was very sympathetic and awarded a large sum equalling 50% of the individual’s deposits.

If Mastercard or Visa decided in favour of the merchant that is it , the refund is only a temp one if you go to the fos they will only overturn it if the bank did something wrong

When making bank transfers using the open banking process, it sometimes helps to write to the provider who then mediates between everyone. If nothing helps, the money is gone.

Bank transfer is pretty much the safest thing there is, and it's a good thing that they can't be cancelled, otherwise the system would collapse and you would have to pay and make a chargeback at will.

If it was me.......

You need to start building a case against revolut. Gather as much information you can that the casino(s) in question are a scam. Reviews on this website, the fact they're unlicensed etc. All the emails you've sent the merchants and casinos. Any articles you can find about transaction laundering.

If you've made bank transfers then there is, an admittedly incredibly slim, chance you can come at this from the angle of it being a push payment scam.

You were targetted as a vulnerable person (gambling addict) by a fraudulent unlincensed casino who coerced you to make payments by transfer instead of card. (you'll need evidence)

If the payment provider who the payments went through is in the UK and FCA regulated, then you need to highlight that as well.

Might work......

What evidence they come up with to prove the transaction was valid. Did the bank send it to you?

Pre-arb is before it goes to arbitration if you sent your response and it was voted in the merchants favour after arbitration that is it really nothing can be done sadly
