It will be tough mate kicking the habit I have only gambled one week in 7 months and due to these sites I lost about £20000 in that short period so it shows you how easy it is to fall victim to them just a slight lapse led to this but im lucky my bank has been very supportive as has gamcare to help me get through it and reset and try again yes it is hard living without that buzz but it is deffo an illness as you are spending these amounts to do it and only when you hit the bottom do you realise what you have done it is scarey !

Did you find gamblers anonymous helpful? I went to a few sessions but I don’t feel like it helped me at all..

Hi mate I have never went to it I never fancied it but deffo go to gamcare and get the referral for the one to one therapy its on zoom and hassle free you chat to your advisor openly I tell them all my thoughts feelings etc and it is analysed well to help plus you get good coaching and encouragement for things you did well like resisting the urge etc and it is each week so it stops you from doing it I feel as you do not want to go on and say you fell once the sessions are finished they check back in a few months but it is professional help not like the GA which is more like a discussion group.

Thanks mate I will defo check that out. For now im ok, hitting gym and eating healthy etc but I’m scared for when my financial health gets better because I’ll want to gamble again as were all compulsive gamblers at the end of the day!!!

Yes im the same big gym kick and been all over the place using the different gyms actually seeing places I do not usually go to which has been great starting watching the tv which I did not do before treating myself buying stuff I fancy the stuff I denied myself when thinking of gambling as I was always counting gambling figures in my head you will probs know what I mean Im still mentally scarred for life but feeling much better but still feel a weight on my shoulders ive lost a lot more in the past been on debt programs for 6 years etc massive amounts lost £70000 and I paid back about £20000 as they write it off my credit score was ruined but I still went back like a fool but right now I feel strong ive still got two personal loans to pay about £6000 and I took a loan against the house £23000 at daft interest rates but this is things now much better as before that I was another £33000 on top of that and I found this page and it saved me to be honest as I thought I will try it with the bank and give it a good go and it worked otherwise I was going into a DAS debt scheme

Spent almost 100k alone over the last year to mystake and santeda but unlucky for me all my transactions were via bank transfer..

Yes I know I seen that mate that is a c**nt but I still think you can get something back as long as you keep the gambling demon in the box its good you have done a crazy amount of money as I did it just shows you there is no chance on these sites ! they know me too well now targeting my weak times of the week/day flooding my inbox with texts n offers n links

I got a nikotpf merchant from Santeda/Goldenbet, it does appear they are using a vast number of merchants to try and make it harder for people to chase their money back in terms of illegal customers.
