A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Yes mate due to the rate or they have not calculated it right as they had it as 5800 euro. I messaged them and got told they are looking in to it but im not holding my breath for a quick fix I am stopping chasing them now though after the bank update I removed bad feedback on trustpilot for the casino site that is what they wanted.

I am thinking sit tight and see what happens with the chargebacks but part of me is thinking tell the bank about the refund then something is saying don’t as they will see that as it being resolved and cancel them it is a hard one.

It was a big fight to get them done and they have not asked for anything else just said they cannot raise gambling transactions to Mastercard however they raised them using the loophole of the incorrect merchant code they never asked about the £10000 in payouts so they are taking a tough stance on the site,

Hello!

Has anyone here managed to appeal to Revolut and get them to take up transactions for chargeback even though they were previously denied?

Hi mate I never called I just objected to each email I got as I was annoyed and you could really tell they had not read stuff and found lots of holes in it they said they could see I was trying to get serious help as they read my emails showing my appointments with a therapist etc and decided to raise them I think I messed up by taking the site refund it might go against me that is what I do not know

Well I found this online a case won to the FOS for the bank not doing incorrect MCC code it says when raised the Casino site must prove that they did not use the incorrect code to circumvent the gambling laws/block and need to prove to Mastercard they never and due to this they would not reply as it would go to arbitration and expose what they were doing if they tried to fight it so I reckon I will be ok to be honest interesting letter

And another similar one it seems that the Illegal casino site has to show that the transaction was correct using the code they should have and simply if not then they bypassed the bank blocks and any other regional laws to take the money so none of them will fight this at all so hopefully I reckon I am 100% ok

That’s key if you can get the bank to do it under incorrect MCC then they cannot challenge it as it’s fraud. The difficulty is the banks, Barclaycard did mine under that but said they don’t usually/never do it/isn’t a code they use.

Chase did a previous chargeback after a complaint but unsure on what basis I asked for incorrect MCC but they were slow and I think changed it to goods not received. I have a few others with Chase and I have just gone goods not received.

Got an update from my bank for above transactions.

My question is although for this casino, they listed directly as gambling merchant, they are however unlicensed in Australia. So they are illegally operating and yet the bank is saying their terms and conditions are valid here? Is it possible to dispute this or just take their word.

Hi Waldo I just kept going back then finally I emailed copying in the ombudsman but they know I have a serious gambling problem and im taking serious steps to cure it the one on one therapy sessions are great they have reset me and helped my mind, try and focus on how you feel your being ignored and its affecting your health evidence steps you have taken to help your habit and also lay it on thick about the fact they are shielding the rogues and not supporting the customer I went back 3 times then had set my head on the ombudsman route the email and call was a big surprise to be honest with you mate I think also if it is a big amount they buckle eventually as they might face paying it out if not raised.
