A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

That’s interesting, especially the difference between Barclays and Revolut.

Did Kryptonim appear as the actual beneficiary on the bank transfer, or was there another company/account name involved? And did Barclays specifically say they are reviewing it under APP fraud, rather than as a normal card dispute?

Also, did you send them screenshots showing that you originally selected debit card on the casino site before being redirected to the bank transfer/crypto flow?

Would be useful to know what evidence Barclays considered important.

That’s interesting. When they asked for the bank statement, did they want the full statement or just the transactions showing Viargaming / Ventira / VNTRA?

And after you sent it, did they ever confirm they had opened a refund review, or did they simply stop replying?

Has anyone else here actually received a refund from Ventira after providing a bank statement?

Hey, thanks for the info. Good on you for escalating. Could you also keep me in the loop regarding this?

Update on Progress.

Still in thick of back and forth with Walletto. But did get £10k back yesterday from some merchants that they processed for. Still £12k outstanding with them. So back we go.

Hi everyone, I’m new here and have been reading through the thread trying to understand these merchant descriptors.

I keep seeing names linked to XPate and Walleto, but it’s still quite difficult to work out which merchants belong to which processor and whether anyone is actually getting refunds directly.

Has anyone recently had success with merchants connected to XPate or Walleto? It would be useful to know which descriptors were involved and whether the refund came from the merchant, the processor, or through the bank.
